This is nothing short of treason - these people are “domestic enemies” of the Constitution and, thus, of the American people. They certainly have the right to back, contribute to and vote for (or against) anyone whom they choose, but using their position as government employees to subvert an election is...treason.
I sincerely hope and pray that when Trump is elected (for the THIRD time) that his DoJ prosecutes these people. Also, there needs to be: 1) Congressional hearings on this matter so that the American people can learn - once and for all - what really happened; and 2) new laws that criminalize such behavior in a VERY specific manner, and include penalties in addition to mere prison time, such as loss of pension, loss of future medical coverage/subsidies, loss of royalties from book, movie, etc. rights (a Son of Sam law for treason) and anything else that can be used to dissuade such acts in the future.

In retrospect, I think in the past I have been unfair towards Pinochet.
IF you have never run for office or been in the thick of politics then you might have an opinion but you don’t know and you can’t know. AND, it’s NOT just from the Democrats. The Republicans act like they’re helping you and then shiv you in the back -— often and with gusto.
When I ran in 2012/2014, I paid my money and went to the candidate training schools put on by the Republican Party of Texas and others. I knew I needed a campaign manager, and asked the RPT team for any suggestions and recommendations. I was offered a name as the best one I should get. Of course I researched it, and found he had just got out of jail from embezzling all the campaign funds from his former candidate. Thanks a lot RPT. They paid for a candidate to run against me -— and not just that => someone similar enough to me in demographics to confuse people, who followed me around, recorded me, and then gave my opinions/speeches at events and split my vote. County Chairs, who were NOT to be involved in primary elections, traveled with her and and campaigned for her at events.
I had great sympathy for Trump walking into the swamp surrounded by pretend “R” swamp creatures working to make him fail. Politics is ugly. More ugly than you would ever believe. I went there. I know.

Yes, but this is beyond politics. This is subversion and plotting to disenfranchise those citizens who don't have the 'correct' opinions. It's shocking how depraved and self-justified these people are.
Just today, on FR, read this thread and listen to the recording in which Dewit is trying to buy off Kari Lake at the behest of 'powerful people back east'. Many if not most of us are likely still somewhat shocked by how deep and dark it all is - even if you already knew how bad things are.
