Fair enough on the critique of Wikipedia. I only used them when you gave permission to Goggle the dispute.
My point: Hoover made many enemies over his decades of service including organized crime, KKK, politicians, communists, media, and liberals. He once called Martin Luther King a notorious liar which rankled a lot of people.
The allegation about cross-dressing was made at a time when cross-dressing was frowned upon. And I have not seem any real evidence from credible sources - mostly someone said that they heard somebody say that someone's fourth wife said she saw someone that she thought looked a lot like JEH . . . but even that is not clear.

That is how I remember it also. Of course, it was not mentioned by the propaganda press when they repeatedly showed the picture of Trump with Epstein and the young woman.
