Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Keith Richards is celebrating two new milestones -- his 80th birthday and his 40th wedding anniversary.
The Rolling Stones guitarist turned 80 years old on Monday and also marked 40 years of marriage with his wife, Patti Hansen.
The Rolling Stones honored Richards with a tribute on social media.
"Happy birthday to the one and only @officialKeef! Wishing you the most special of days Keith! Keep on rocking," the post reads.

I saw Ron Wood when he was still with Faces... (actually he was on his last tour with Faces and had just recorded ‘Black and Blue’ with the Stones - 1974). He was a great choice to replace Mick Taylor... Taylor (in my opinion the Stone’s greatest guitarist) didn’t look like a Stone... he looked like the nice kid next door. Ron Wood looked the part.
While the Stones certainly rock, I think their ballads are WAY underrated.

What is even more amazing is it the first and only marriage for both of them – 40 years. Although Keith was “partners” with Anita Pallenberg from 1967 to 1980 resulting in 3 children, one of whom died at 10 weeks old from SIDS.
And now my favorite Keith Richards line.
Back in 2002 Mick Jagger was knighted. Richards was not impressed. “Mick should have held out for a lordship.”
heh.. I had to look this up as I was curious why both weren’t knighted. Apparently Richards refused the honor.

Have you seen Richards’ knuckles lately? How he can still play amazes me.
Yeah I heard he’s got bad arthritis.
Dylan had to quit playing guitar in his live performances due to arthritis.. he just does vocals and tinkles on the piano now. Richards is lucky to still be able to play at a competent level.
