Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has ditched the Senate dress code to accommodate man-child Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) who prefers to dress like a teenage slob rather than a grown man in the ‘world’s greatest deliberative body.’ The dress code of coats and ties for men and business attire for women will still apply to staff in the chamber.
Even before his debilitating stroke last year, Fetterman preferred to wear a hoodie and gym shorts as Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor and while campaigning. After his treatment for depression earlier this year, Fetterman has continued dressing like a slob when at work in the Senate complex except for appearances at committee meetings and floor debates where he has worn suits. When voting on the floor, Fetterman sometimes votes from just outside the chamber while casually dressed, leaning in a doorway and flashing a thumbs up or down, a practice that other senators do on occasion.
A casually dressed Fetterman was recently seen in a Senate office building emoting like a stoner school boy when asked about House Republicans opening an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.
Fox News reporter Chad Pergram confirmed the Axios report, “Fox confirms that the Senate will no longer enforce a dress code for senators. Senators can now what ever they want. However, others entering the chamber must comply with the dress code. Coats/ties for men. Business attire for women.”

If you won’t wear a mask, why would you wear a tie?
Pennsylvania was stolen!!
many businesses have casual dress
what fetterman wears is not casual dress
its playground dress
So every fraternity at Faber should let people dress like John “Bluto” Blutarsky?
Kowtowing to the lowest common denominator never is a good idea.
Uh-oh! It's only a matter of time before a senator wears a feathered leather jockstrap (only) on the floor of the Senate.
When there are no standards in a society, there is no culture and no civilization.
What the hell. It is now de rigueur for bands to dress like homeless people.

If Schumer had any balls he’d manadate that all Senators wear hoodies.
There is a lot of psychology to recovering from a serious illness including mental aspects such as depression. I read where it is important to set reasonable daily tasks or yourself including making your bed up neatly after sleeping in it overnight.
This is important even if you are only able to get yourself to make it up just before going to bed in it again the following evening. Your mind and psyche recognize that you are trying and succeeding in stages.
I have mentioned this before. Three points, please.
1. The press did a good job hiding Fetterman’s many faults. Unless you’re on a site like Free Republic, you probably didn’t know how bad off Fetterman really is.
2. Fetterman’s campaign ads were very well done. They painted him as Joe Everyman, a solid guy you’d want as a friend and neighbor.
3. Dr. Oz (Fetterman’s opponent) ran truly awful ads. Really bad. They had Oz wandering around PA factories like he was lost. Oz was all wrong for Pennsylvania. And his stupid campaign ads didn’t help.
1+2+3 = the perfect election storm. And I’m not even talking about the usual D cheating.
Will the GOP learn anything from this PA fiasco? Probably not.
I remember people saying that we need to pay our politicians high wages in order to attract the best the brightest to serve our country.
Then I look at Fetterman...
All democrats are low class so this fits.
Please, please, please stop pretending voters were manipulated. Obese, tatted-up, poorly educated scumbags voted for criminal scumbags to lead them. Pennsylvania voters deserve all the blame because they’re extremely poor citizens and apathetic and uncaring voters. Truth hurts. Want better leaders? Demand better leadership.
I wasn’t a supporter of Dr. Oz, but there’s no way in hell he lost a legitimate election to this brain-dead Stalinazi missing link.
so again, rules for thee but not for me so sayeth the ruling class
His shoe size must be at least 20!
He might be sensitive about that big lump on the back of his neck too. Hard to hide that in a business suit.
