Type in my previous comment. Should read #108. Excellent detail on what probably went wrong, the Russians probably blew it up on purpose, and then it got much bigger that they had wanted or expected.

Hmmmmm...you seem to have already forgotten the policy after you went running to daddy on this thread:

Please use common courtesy when posting. Do not post personal attacks, no name calling, no insults. Do not badger or harass other posters. Do not carry grudges from one thread to another. If someone says stop, STOP. Avoid flame wars. If you find yourself in one, disengage immediately and move on.

Discuss the issues all you wish, but do not make it personal.

See above for blatant hypocrisy.

Typical Russian military incompetence.

--- "Thank you. I am available... just freep-mail me."

Again, clever. There has been a discussion "in the open" about scriptural support, and now you want it done in freep-mail, for only limited eyes?

Let's open up a gospel of your choice and your pastoral leadership for the participants in this thread for all to read. Out in the open.

--- "...Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."

Indeed. A graphic with curlicues is not a scriptural dialogue. Peter does not refer to "in private." Or is that your reading?

Slightly earlier in the book chosen, one reads "...they must seek peace and pursue it."

--- "...so that I might not be accused of proselytization." Really? Have you that as a concern? A fear? Freeper posts aplenty cite scripture, post wonderful art work based in scripture, and more. None in private freep-mail.

It will probably take 10+ years to rebuild it, in the meantime there will be less agricultural production from the area and possible famine in Africa…

Will tell you why my tweets may be a little more vitriolic than normal the past few days (aside from the obvious).

Met a woman from Lisychansk traveling alone. Her 14 year old daughter was gangraped by Russians a year ago while they took over her home, left her pregnant, later got abortion. Daughter committed suicide in Poland 2 months ago.

This is what Russians bring to Ukraine, and to hear these western fucks like Musk and the rest promote Russian PR without having ever lived under the Russian system and its barbarism, is infuriating.

Getting on Twitter now is like entering an alternate universe run by naive western kids that’ve never experienced life outside mom's house. Is this what living in the safety of the West does to one's brain now? So soft and easily manipulated?

The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say.

The former lakebed will be impassable for months to come. Decades of built up silt will be mud and tracked vehicles and even men on foot will find it impractical to traverse.

October 18, 2022 - Satellite view looking down upon the Kakhovskaya (aka Kakhovka) barrage dam, intact:

Ukraine's Russian-Held Nova Kakhovka Dam Damaged in Shelling - Russian Media [USNews]

Both Russia and Ukraine have since October [2022] repeatedly accused each of planning to breach the dam using explosives, in a move that would flood much of the area downstream in what would likely cause major destruction around Kherson city.

- - -

November 6, 2022 - RT.com reported that "six projectiles targeted the structure around 10:00 AM local time. Five were intercepted by Russian air defenses, but one made it through," but that did not cause critical damage.

- - -

June 6, 2023 - NBC News - Surveillance video from November 2022 shows explosions at the Kakhovka dam

There were explosions at Ukraine's Kakhovka dam in early November 2022. British military intelligence at the time said it was almost certainly the work of Russian forces using controlled detonations.

The [video frame] image in the NBC News story, view taken from a surveillance camera looking north from the power generation building that is located at the south end of the immediate barrage dam structure:

The impact of a powerful rocket, it seems, hit the north end of the immediate barrage dam structure on November 6, 2022.

As a result of the explosion of the #KakhovkaHPP, the fields in the South of Ukraine may turn into deserts as early as next year, Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.

LOL - you’re posting pictures of your boy Zelensky with all of this “glory” stuff you guys do and then you cry because you get teased about it?

The one post I copied Jim on way back when (out on the open) was when your buddy Fresh Prince was posting about how worthless white, native born Americans are, but the clincher was when he went on about most FReepers being a bunch of “old curmudgeons who can’t handle text files.”

My teasing you about your worshipful stance on (eww) Zelensky does not compare to the Ukraine yipyappers regularly calling patriotic Americans “Russians,” “Communists,” “Bolsheviks” and other such nasty insults to their character. All of those nasty names are not going to sway us or bully us into thinking that sending billions of dollars to a money-laundering operation is a swell idea, but the names keep flying anyway.

But, by all means, report it if you want. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kremlin knows that we know and just released this:

Several of our sources reported that the disaster at Kakhovskaya HPP was the result of a mistake. The administration of the hydroelectric plant and the military commandant wanted to adjust the water level, but could not take into account the critical deterioration of the structure. As a result of a local explosion there was a breakthrough and critical destruction. The source said that the Russian military command has put the perpetrators under court martial and they expect a long prison term. At the same time, Russia does not think that the situation was its fault. The reason is technical, the Kremlin is convinced.

Oh, and since you’re going to go prancing around citing the rules, you might want to have a look-see at this one before you go pinging your fellow Zelensky-loving spam-spreaders who love to hurl insults at his intellectual superiors. The only reason you would ping him to this thread is to stir things up. So…

“Do not carry grudges from one thread to another.”
