These continual petty, childish attacks on anyone and everyone he perceives as an adversary, whether they actually are or not, diminishes him in the eyes of many potential voters.

Why the rush to protect McEnany? Because she worked so hard for Trump? Didn’t he give her the job? Then where’s her loyalty to him? Cuts both ways. She misrepresented his poll numbers likely to please her bosses. When someone attacks, lies or is disloyal to him, Trump strikes back. She’s no exception.
