The Texas State House voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, effectively suspending him from legal authority within the state until an impeachment trial can be held in the State Senate. There are 20 articles of impeachment [READ HERE]. The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with most of the Texas state republicans voting in alignment with the Texas democrats.
People are shocked when I share the opinion that Texas is not near the top of the Republican states considered deep red “conservative” or freedom/values based. Of the mostly visible 30 states you might consider ‘conservative’ or ‘freedom balanced’, Texas wouldn’t appear in the top five; today’s vote in the Texas state house is just another datapoint in that direction.
TEXAS – In a history-making late-afternoon vote, a divided Texas House chose Saturday to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, temporarily removing him from office over allegations of misconduct that included bribery and abuse of office.
The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with three members absent.
Attention next shifts to the Texas Senate, which will conduct a trial with senators acting as jurors and designated House members presenting their case as impeachment managers. Permanently removing Paxton from office and barring him from holding future elected office in Texas would require the support of two-thirds of senators. (read more)
The Texas Republicans who voted to remove the conservative AG, are the typical Texas RINO, Bush and DeSantis support group. Understanding the dynamic, President Trump has promised to fight the Texas Republicans as they attack Ken Paxton.
Attorney General Ken Paxton released the following statement:
If you want to get the Democrats to change their tactics, start by beating them at their own game.
They vote to impeach Paxon, you vote to impeach one of theirs and you keep it up until they back off.
Same goes for election cheating, if they ballot harvest, you ballot harvest, if you beat them a few times, they will be a lot more open to cleaning up the election process.

BUT, I can assure you that the citizens will burn the lines up between us and Austin on Tuesday.

Now remember, we are impeaching Bidens key people already. The ComDems are calling in a lot of their markers to people that were already on their payroll.

He’s probably at some party being thrown by Dave Rubin and his husband - not that there’s anything wrong with that. If DeSantis and his wife want to be friends with a gay couple, so be it. And if the DeSantises want to send Dave and his husband a gift to celebrate their newly adopted children, who am I to complain?
It’s just funny that it doesn’t seem to bother Golden Eagle, who touts DeSantis supposedly staunch opposition to LBGTQXYZ issues as one of the main reasons he supports DeSantis over Trump.

I have no idea who Dave Rubin is and Crowder is one of the biggest clowns pretending to be on the right so I could give a flip about some weird story they are pushing to try to promote themselves, Show me something concrete, like Trump draping himself on stage in rainbow flags, or throwing parties to celebrate the new gay marriage law at his resort as he has, and I’ll certainly take note. As far as Trump goes, he held an event that happened to coincide with a new gay marriage law. The event had been planned long before the law was passed. Some of the attendees used the occasion to celebrate the bill. Trump spoke briefly at the event, never addressing the new law.
That matters to you, but DeSantis sending a gay couple, a gift to celebrate their newly adopted babies, doesn’t. Why?

And he recounts the DeSantises sending him and his “husband” a gift to celebrate their newly adopted children. Whatever DeSantis position on gay marriage, he’s apparently fine with gay couples adopting children.
As far as gay marriage goes, did DeSantis sign legislation banning gay marriage? Nope. Did Trump sign legislation legalizing it? Nope.

I'm watching it now, DeSantis was clearly using the opportunity to defend his anti-gay agenda on the program, NOT to side with any queer theology from Rubin, like Trump would have done. As usual you have it completely upside down.
