For all of the modern political era, it was understood by both major political parties that New Hampshire would be the first state to hold a presidential primary election. Or at least that was the understanding until Biden for strictly personal political reasons decided to make South Carolina the first state to conduct a Democrat presidential primary in 2024. And the result has been utter, entirely avoidable, chaos that even the liberal Politico has branded as a "catastrophe."

That’s a good point. Even Biden made noises like he would be a one-term President and would step aside for Harris “if they ever disagreed” back in ‘20.
Maybe the plan was for a weary Joe to pass the reins (ha!) or at least step aside for Kamala to run in 2024.
Who knows? Maybe that will still happen. I didn’t think Joe would make it this far. But then Edith Wilson 2.0 stepped in...
Sure, South Carolina elects people who are all-talk and no-do (Linda Graham, Trey Gowdy, Nikki Haley), but at least the voters are, by and large, social Conservatives
As I’ve often said: When Joe first arrived in Washington, he was found to be not particularly smart, but he was particularly corruptible. He was a perfect fit.
Joe isn’t running anything. His wife and deep state staff are.
Lastly I guess New Hampshire is mad and won't vote for Biden? Who cares they pull little weight once the media can't amplify their "first" vote in the Primary.
The reaons is Jim Clybvurn. Biden literally owes his presidency to him because Jim backed him in the SC primary. After he won that, he became unbeatable. If he had lost that, it probably would have been over.
If SC is the new 1st primary state, does it have to be for both ‘Rats and ‘Rs? If yes, how is that the DNC/’Rats set the pace for the other party?
Or, at this level there is only one party: Uniparty.
I recently read New Hampshire law mandates its presidential primary date MUST be the first in the nation. I guess they will change the date to precede the primary election in South Carolina.
Even if he does manage to somehow stumble into the nomination he won’t debate......the dnc has already stated there will be no primary debates.....I fully expect that to extend into the general election.

If Biden doesn’t get on the New Hampshire ballet Kennedy will take the state. This is a good thing.
