Approximately 60 students at a Kansas City high school walked out of classes Wednesday to protest a veteran teacher who had written a op-ed criticizing school diversity policies and allegedly doesn’t use students’ “preferred” pronouns.
Caedran Sullivan wrote late last month in The Lion that she could “no longer stay silent” about the Shawnee Mission School District “fostering a toxic environment” with its DEI trainings.
“There is repeated white shaming and a preoccupation with white people as the ‘oppressor,’ including staff field trips with a focus on ‘systemic racism,’ Sullivan wrote. “The white saviorism and virtue-signaling at DEI meetings is so condescending that many minorities and other staff members have stopped attending.”
Sullivan also said teachers were told to refer to students by the preferred pronouns, “but hide from the parents the fact that their minor children are transitioning at school.”

The parents need to sue the knuckles off that knuckledragger “school” for teaching the kids IMPROPER ENGLISH and the 60 toddlers who left the class to do a dumbass “protest” should all be expelled for the year and given no credit for this year. They let the grooming teachers use them as idiot sheep by telling them to “walk out” and “protest.”

Just use their proper name and forget about this pronoun nonsense.
When such looney students “walk out,” just tell them to keep walking.
Problem is, it is already done and I doubt we will be able to stop it with votes. How many parents do you know that have withdrawn their children from public schools? How many voters do you know that have canned their congressmen for allowing this cr@p to continue? The problems exist for the same reason.

They should be suspended. They must have negative consequences or the behavior will be repeated.
The students who walked outof class won’t be suspended. They will be given extra credit. The teacher will be fired eventually.
I agree...problem is no one at these schools have the guts to do that.

Shawnee Mission School District has 27,000 students and 3700 staff members. Sixty skipped class.
I would like to know how many of the 60 actually protested and how many just wanted to skip class.
Besides, Shawnee Mission schools are built on “stolen land”.
