In this 15-minute video, Actual Justice Warrior discusses Denver, Colo. Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca's proposed a tax on white-owned businesses to finance reparations for slavery. In remarks make over her Tik Tok account, Cdebaca justifies this proposed tax on the grounds that “capitalism was built on stolen land, stolen labor and stolen resources.” And one reparations check would not “undo the cumulative impact of generations of that stolen wealth.” So this tax is needed so as to generate a steady flow of money which would then be turned over to black and brown-owned businesses.

She is proposing this tax despite the fact that it would be unconstitutional. And she also ignores the fact that white people in America make less money than Americans of Indian, Filipino, Taiwanese, Chinese, Malaysian, Sri Lankan or Pakistani descent. Nonetheless, she complains that she is being targeted by a “white nationalist mob.”
