So, what about these rumors that Tucker and Don Lemon are going to get together for a 'Crossfire' type show?

There is a rumor on Twitter that Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon may be planning a 'Crossfire' type program. Tucker spoke about the nature of 'debate' in his first public post after leaving FOXNEWS. Matt Gaez tweeted that we will be blown away by Tucker's plans.
I believe this rumor came about because they both have the same lawyers after leaving their jobs... anyone hear anything? Opinions on it?

And the pattern still remains
On the wall where darkness fell,
And it's fitting that it should,
For in darkness I must dwell.
Like the color of my skin,
Or the day that I grow old,
My life is made of Patterns
That can scarcely be controlled

There are a lot of reasons for Lemon to do this - it would give him access to a far larger audience than anything he’s ever been used to. There is no reason at all for Carlson to do this.

They hired the same law firm. That’s all that happened. Anything else is useless speculation.

No, I’ve just seen it mentioned a few times. I did just consider it in the context of Tucker’s video earlier this week... Matt Gaez thinking Tucker’s plans are going to make big news and also the hiring the same lawyer thing... the fact they were fired the same day also.
As someone mentioned above, it’s just a ‘pattern.’ In my own opinion highly unlikely. Even if they did consider it, I doubt they could actually pull it off...

Or perhaps their roles would be moderators? Tucker did seem to strongly imply he was interested in an old fashioned debate show... ‘like University debates’ is what I took from that... formal with rules.

Actually it could work and Lemon makes a passable Alan Colmes figure. He just might step up and offer the progressive woke viewpoint to Tuckers Trump like intellectual populism. I’d watch it.
Tucker would insist upon excellence from Lemon and he has the motivation to learn to do it.

There is no market for Lemon while there is a massive market for Tucker. So, who do you think planted this empty rumor to siphon off a few dollars from being on the same stage as Tucker?

No. I think Brian Stelter got it started actually... he posted that Tucker and Lemon were texting each other. Megyn Kelly replied to that with this:
Megyn Kelly @megynkelly I have never read so much nonsense in one media piece. Don Lemon & Tucker might partner up on a new Crossfire?! Hollywood agents are allegedly calling Lemon’s agent with offers for a talk show? Step away from the glue, hall monitor.

Hopefully Tucker is smarter than that.
To: shadowlands1960
Leven as much as he thinks he would like it, Lemon could never take the daily ass whoppings.

Here are theparagraphs in
Stelter's piece that Kelly is replying to (if you can stomach it):
I know this is crazy, but I’m just going to write it anyway: Could the two men team up? I can imagine some hotshot producer selling a new Crossfire like it’s for the good of the republic. In fact, some are already floating the idea. Cable news can make for strange bedfellows. Former CNN star Chris Cuomo now regularly brings former Fox star Bill O’Reilly onto his NewsNation show. But Carlson was busy building a far-right media empire within Fox; his ambitions go far beyond a debate show.
For Lemon, Hollywood may be calling. Actually, there’s no need to couch that. Multiple producers and development execs have put in feelers to Lemon’s agent, Jay Sures, of the United Talent Agency. Any new project will take months to materialize, but some of Lemon’s friends have pointed to his all-too-brief talk show on CNN+ as a path forward. Only two episodes of The Don Lemon Show were produced before the streaming service was discontinued, but he was visibly energized and in his element with a studio audience.
