Cry me a river—788 million miles long!
On Katie Phang's Saturday show on MSNBC, Stephen Shackelford, a lead lawyer for Dominion Voting Systems, echoed the claim by the company's CEO that the settlement payment of $787.5 million from Fox News was "bittersweet."
In a New York Times op-ed, the CEO, John Poulos, in addition to calling the settlement "bittersweet," actually wrote:
"If we could,we would trade it all in a heartbeat to go back in time to get our reputation back."

The settlement was more than 3x the company’s total valuation! The CEO would have given it all back, and he and the lawyer find it bittersweet.
Riiight!
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
I can’t believe Fox settled this out of court. Now they have zero recourse.
I wonder if Fox is getting reimbursed.
Me neither
The trial was being held in Delaware. Good chance a jury would have awarded at least the amount of the settlement, if not more.
Plus, Tucker, Hannity, Rupert Murdoch and others would have been subjected to intense examination about their private statements on the election, the allegations made against Dominion, etc.
This is going to be appealed.
There is no way that it is a fair settlement.
I am not sure what went wrong here- but I would rather see Dominion have to validate it’s code in court.
Didn’t the judge severely limit Fox’s defense. Something about they couldn’t claim they didn’t lie about the company.
Fox did this to silence the claim of election fraud. Someone paid them to do it.
Dominion as a company will probably die. Too much baggage.
“we would trade it all in a heartbeat to go back in time to get our reputation back.”
Like millions of conservatives destroyed by the Democrat / Woke / Marxist slime machine starting with President Trump.
I don’t believe it can be appealed. This was not a jury verdict. It was a settlement, an agreement between Fox and Dominion. Undoubtedly as part of the agreement Fox agreed to waive any right to appeal.
Ok, give the money back and we will forgive you, at least you will have tried to regain your reputation instead of falsely claiming you would “give it all back” when everyone knows you won’t.
“I would rather see Dominion have to validate it’s code in court.”
Yes, without an independent critical analysis of their code as used in machines in various precincts around the country, how could anybody reach a conclusion that Dominion was slandered?
Wow, what a fair trial if that is true /s! It’s like saying “sure you can defend yourself agasint the charges, but you can’t use any evidence to prove it, or claim that you are innocent of the charges. Talk about a stacked jury
Perhaps FOX shareholders can sue.
Rupert Murdoch wisely cut his losses and denied them this.
Apparently this “Settlement” can be used as a write off on taxes. Some of this will be borne by insurance as well..
The figure seems high. The reality is that the REAL cost will be much smaller.
If this went to court some jury could have made it 100 Billion.
That's just corporate BS. Dominion's customers are government officials. At least half of them are Democrats, none of whom believed anything Republicans said about the Dominion products and services.
If anything Dominion's reputation has been affected more among its actual customers by situations like Judge Totenberg's findings about problems in the Dominion machines.
Dominion's actual customers don't care about what some pundit on Fox News says, but they do care about Federal court opinions, and the discoveries of actual election experts.
