If what Barnes says is true (and he is one of the best legal experts out there) then imagine how incredibly WEAK the other "Get Trump" cases are.

That’s a bit of a misleading description of what Barnes said (and thanks for posting the link on that other thread, BTW). He says the NYC case is the “strongest” not on the basis of the law, but for logistical and political reasons. The Georgia case will go nowhere because it’s a Republican state, and the Federal case is hampered by the political optics of having the DOJ prosecute a presidential candidate.

When Barnes is on The Duran, like today, it’s one of the best podcasts going.

I thought the Mar a Largo case was supposed to be the strongest.

If they pursue the mar a Lago angle, it puts the spotlight on all the docs that the bushes Clinton’s and Obama’s have taken.

Barnes could be right. There is nothing about any of the four current investigations/cases against Trump that has anything to do with actual law. It is purely political.

Notice the template that is being used. First there is a target: Trump. Second, there is an investigation. Third, there is a search for a crime to link to the target.

This is where the legal system has gone awry. Notice how many investigations, teams, special projects that are started to end crime of one sort or another. Law enforcement embeds itself into groups and manipulates individuals (entraps) into committing crimes. This is big business. It keeps LEO’s, DA’s, PD’s, Lawyers. courts, prisons and so much more in the money.

This needs to be streamlined. An obvious crime, committed against a real victim and that real victim of crime must file a complaint. Crimes cannot be government generated. Period.

Yeah, hard to pin anything on him isn’t it? Maybe that’s because he doesn’t go around committing crimes like all the democrat politicians do. No low hanging rotten fruit so to say.

These cases are tried in the media, not in the courts. Which case attracts the most eyeballs wins.

I think it is prep to insulate democrats from prosecution when Trump is re-elected. No matter what kind of evidence Is presented the response will be “ we let Trump get away with it, you can’t prosecute us”, the dems are always presenting themselves as victims. If 1% of Republicans do something wrong- all Republicans are blamed, if 99% of democrats do something wrong and 1% don’t do something wrong then Republicans are the cause and are blamed with democrats, but only the Republicans are vilified, and the dems cry “persecution “

Robert Barnes is exceptional. He just trots out fact after fact. He knows his Constitutional law, he understands the mechanics of the political and judicial systems.

Here is an EXCELLENT 40 minute interview on the Trump indictment with Catholic Libertarian Tom Woods. WELL WORTH the time, and I do NOT say that lightly.
