Rather Than Protect Florida Citizens from a Politicized New York District Attorney, DeSantis Sides with His Handlers and His Stock Plummets

Ron DeSantis is failing quickly out of favor with Trump voters. It is clear that he is listening to his handlers and consultants and NOT to his gut. And it is costing him.

On Monday, two days after it was reported that a corrupt Soros-backed DA who lets criminals go in New York, is planning on arresting President Trump on bogus charges, Florida Governor DeSantis finally responded. In his response, DeSantis made a dig at President Trump. Many thought it was tacky and uncalled for.

John Fredricks thought DeSantis’s response to the Constitutional crisis was weak.

DC Draino was on the War Room to make his observations on DeSantis’s response to the destruction of the US Justice System by the corrupt Soros-funded politician in New York.

DC Draino observations on DeSantis' response to the destruction of the US Justice System by the corrupt Soros-funded politician

It’s clear that DeSantis is listening to his handlers. These Paul Ryan – Karl Rove-type consultants are leading DeSantis over a cliff. By slamming President Trump at this pivitol point in history, he insults the American people. The fact that he doesn’t see this is severely damaging to his aspirations to become US President.

The efforts by the corrupt DA in New York are unacceptable and a bastardization of the rule of law. This is a political attack. The communist Dems would not be concerned with Trump if they weren’t threatened by him. This isn’t about the law it’s the opposite. This is about saving America.

If DeSantis’s global consultants were smart they would encourage DeSantis to do his job. His job is to protect the citizens in his state. When a radical New York prosecutor attacks a Florida citizen on bogus made-up charges DeSantis has a duty to protect that citizen from the overreach of government.

DeSantis defend President Trump and kindly ask that New York Democrat activists to not enter his state and arrest his citizens on nonexistent crimes. This would lift him up with the MAGA crowd and place him in a position of power.

But it’s unlikely DeSantis’s consultants have even thought of this. If they did it’s too late. It took them two days to come up with the garbage response he had on Monday. This is not a good sign for Ron DeSantis and his future aspirations.

It really is a shame he’s turning out to be the polished establishment politician that he is. That is the LAST thing we need.

DeS understands exactly what he is doing to himself.

There is one plausible explanation only for his bizarre alliance with the Bush family - - blackmail.

DeS is just doing what he is told by his masters. And apparently it is well worth it for DeS to belittle himself by doing so.

I had been pretty neutral on DeSantis. I was supporting Trump, but figured DeSantis would eventually get his chance. Now I think I’m all done with him. He’s not willing to fight for the important stuff — and that’s literally the only quality I’m looking for.

DeSantis hasn’t declared his candidacy for the Presidency and is a young politician.

He will have plenty of time to recover if he sits this one out and continues his achievements as governor of Florida.

If “sits” it’s win-win for DeSantis.

If he runs against Trump it’s lose-lose for DeSantis.

I think the GOPe is very interested in DeSAntis and he is increasingly interested in them. They see him as the alternative they can use to block Trump, and he thinks it will be to his advantage to have the party establishment on his side. This is a miscalculation.

Hmmmm, let’s see…. there has been NO INDICTMENT, there have been NO CHARGES, there has been NO ARREST WARRANT. And yet, people get their panties all in a bunch and run around hysterically screaming PROTECT HIM, PROTECT HIM, PROTECT HIM.

Signed,

Non-hysterical House

Because the R party is dead after Trump. The GOPe wants to go back to “business as usual” post Trump. Well that ain’t gonna cut it. We’ve tasted MAGA and we like it. F the GOP.

True, but there was that snarky pornstar remark by DeSantis. That was poor timing on his part.

What do they actually want him to do? For one thing Trump hasn’t even been indicted so all this stuff is just posturing until that. But then what? There are tons of ways indictments of people out of state get handled. Yes SOMETIMES the jurisdiction of the indictment will send officers to the the jurisdiction the indictee is in and arrest them with cooperation of local law enforcement (important thing there LOCAL, probably not at the state level and not under the governor’s authority). Sometimes they just send down a copy of the warrant and let the locals handle it. Sometimes they’ll use a federal agency to handle it. Sometimes they’ll arrange with the indictee to turn themselves in at some convenient time. And with as much as Trump travels they could do this anywhere, so even if DeSantis over steps his authority, eventually there will be a governor who knows it’s not his problem.

This theme of the article is foolishness, Trump has made several dirty and underhanded claims about DeSantis partying with underage girls and Charlie Crist being a better Governor, etc..

DeSantis finally responds with a dirty underhanded claim while also saying the entire process was political being led by a Soros funded prosecutor who is allow real crime to explode in NYC.

Now we are told DeSantis is betraying the people of Florida by not offering a 100% defense of Trump.

This like several criticisms of Trump is off the charts ignorant.

You act like it is unreasonable to expect DeSantis to know the difference between right and wrong. Not only do I expect that, I expect him to fight for right.

If Rove and the other Bush crowd are supporting DS and touting his “creds” then I start getting wary. I watched Bush cozy up to the Obamas and stay silent for eight years as Obama put this nation on the road to “woke” destruction. He cheerfully joined the Clintons at events and on projects as if the Clinton’s treatment of him never happened.

Bush then joined the left and other GOP “principled” establishment politicians in either cheering-on or ignoring the witch hunt against Trump.

If that wing of the GOP is going all in on DeSantis then I would have to rethink any support of him. Thus far, I’ve remained in the Trump camp. If we return to the “business as usual” republicans then what difference will we have from what we have now? Dem or GOPe in the White House—it’s all about the same.

DeSantis has absolutely zero power here, despite the deranged fantasies of the homosexuals who run the Gateway Pundit.

The Extradition Clause, in Article IV, Section 2, of the United States Constitution reads:

“A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.”

18 USC 3182 reads:

“Whenever the executive authority of any State or Territory demands any person as a fugitive from justice, of the executive authority of any State, District, or Territory to which such person has fled, and produces a copy of an indictment found or an affidavit made before a magistrate of any State or Territory, charging the person demanded with having committed treason, felony, or other crime, certified as authentic by the governor or chief magistrate of the State or Territory from whence the person so charged has fled, the executive authority of the State, District, or Territory to which such person has fled shall cause him to be arrested and secured, and notify the executive authority making such demand, or the agent of such authority appointed to receive the fugitive, and shall cause the fugitive to be delivered to such agent when he shall appear. If no such agent appears within thirty days from the time of the arrest, the prisoner may be discharged.”

In Puerto Rico v. Branstad, 483 U.S. 219 (1987), the Supreme Court, unanimously held that the Extradition Clause’s commands are mandatory and afford no discretion to executive officers of the asylum State and that the federal courts can compel a governor to comply with the Constitution, if a governor tries to ignore the Constitutional command.
