Ron and G H W Bush were star baseball players at Yale. G W played rugby there.
Bush was a hero naval aviator in WW2 who flew 58 combat missions in the war with Japan. His plane was knocked out of the air and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Bush II was a jet pilot in the reserves.
DeSantis was a JAG Corp lawyer in the Navy and spent about half a year in Iraq where he was a legal advisor for a commander of Navy Seals there. A Tampa Bay Times story claims his main role in Iraq was to look over the legal treatment/interrogation of prisoners.
