Former President Donald Trump said in a social media post that he would be arrested Tuesday as a New York prosecutor is eyeing charges in a case examining hush money paid to women who alleged sexual encounters with the former president.
Trump said in a post on his Truth Social network early Saturday that “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan district attorney’s office indicate that “THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK.”

Well Trump does because he is best served by turning the arrest into an example of democrat over-reach and malicious prosecution that will backfire on them. 99% of the people won’t understand the underlying issues but hopefully will react negatively to images of a former President being arrested.

Part of the pig generation here. Started college at 15. Went to grad school got married and have worked my entire life. Paid all my bills. Never voted for a dem. Helping my parents financially, helped my siblings, raised four kids, now helping raise the next generation. I’m a native Southerner - GA in particular and about DT’s age. Trump’s “bragging on himself” is jarring to me but may be typical/prized in NY. I wish he wouldn’t do it as imo it belittles him. I’ve posted here for many years and never “name-called” another poster as that’s not how we roll. Your mileage obviously varies.
