White House Pravda: Politico Claims Biden ‘Saved’ Silicon Valley Startups

White House propaganda machine Politico wasted no time in trying to cast President Joe Biden as the savior of Silicon Valley Bank startups by praising his ridiculous federal "bailout" plan.

Politico was off to the races in its ridiculous Mar. 13 story headlined: “How Biden saved Silicon Valley startups: Inside the 72 hours that transformed U.S. banking.” The first paragraph made the entire article sound like the plot of a Mission: Impossible script: “On Sunday afternoon, an exhausted group of Biden administration officials gathered to put the finishing touches on a hastily composed plan to stave off a nationwide banking crisis.” The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, according to Politico’s spin, “trigger[ed] a weekend sprint [by Biden officials] to contain the fallout that spanned several agencies and all hours of the day and night.” The new federal scheme, Politico fawned, “would provide SVB’s depositors with access to all their funds, effectively averting painful financial uncertainty — and the threat of heavy losses — for thousands of venture-backed startups.”

The outlet even propped up how the inflation stimulating Federal Reserve “would single handedly give all other similar lenders access to funds designed to keep them afloat and quell the panic brewing across the country.” The devil wears pravda. The words of late President Ronald Reagan ring true: “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.'”

We should not be saving banks.

Correct. This just invites more irresponsible behavior.

We're going to see a different kind of run on banks - by the banks themselves hopping on the bandwagon to have the government value their junk investments at top of market valuations - and then use those valuations to engage in even riskier snake oil investments.

Yes.

This sounds crazy, but today you have Snowden, a whistle blower that DID uncover illegal government activities living in exile in Russia, while the folks that committed perjury are still in government or collecting big retirement checks while working for contracting firms that are involved in these activities to this day.

Today it is the US that basically leads the way when it comes to mass surveillance, censorship, media control...

What do you think J6 was? That was a political purge. It was the removing of opposition group leaders which could have caused a headache for this administration. Free speech? Right to redress? In one quick swoop, three grass roots organizations lost their leadership, the movement became de-legitimized, and many of the more devout supporters intimidated. You had the FBI interviewing folks that broke no laws (never entered the capital) and it was blatant intimidation.

People don’t want to believe it, after all we must be the good guys. But yes, more and more roles are reversing and it’s us that is belligerent and expansionist, us that tortures and kidnaps (enhanced interrogation and extraterritorial rendition), assassinates, censors, props up despot dictators, has a media that is no more than a single voice which represents the big corporate/oligarchs and government interests.

Look at how the government commanded people to take vaccines and closed churches during Covid. Even at the height of the cold war the atheist Soviets would have never dared order the churches to close their doors!

We are on a slippery slope and very close to becoming EVERYTHING we once claimed to be against.

Even our propaganda very closely resembles what you once saw behind the iron curtain in both style and themes.
