Hmm. So the guy was shot, and an empty case for a firearm was in his nearby BMW SUV.

Are we supposed to believe that an “innocent” party happened along and stole a gun that would connect them to a death scene, but had no interest in the $50,000+ vehicle?

The sad truth is that we’re not expected to believe it. Just to accept that the massive effort to do anything about it is not worth being next.
