As a US taxpayer, you are
1. helping the Ukrainians against an invading force
2. helping the US military learn more about the enemies weapons
3. helping the US military gain real-life testing of their weaponry
4. saving American lives by preventing this war from growing into Putin next attacking Central European countries or the Baltics.
5. And all for 10% of pentagon’s annual budget
This is exactly right. Except I’ve read that it’s actually closer to 5% of the U.S.’s annual budget. And for that amount, we are drastically weakening the military power of a victimhood-poisoned enemy bent on U.S. destruction—and without losing any American soldiers.
I don’t care about either country.

I second all of that.
But in the meantime our country is being weakened by the invasion along our southern border which costs taxpayers an estimated 250 billion per year to take in and care for these economic refugees. Which adversely impacts Americans.
Other impacts on Americans from the invasion include, but are not limited to:
Almost 50,000 people die every year from opioid overdose.
Over 10 million people misuse opioids in a year.
Opioids are a factor in at least 7 out of every 10 overdose deaths
Crime in our cities are rising at previously unknown rates, & illegals are shielded by sanctuary cities & states.
Our own military is being gutted from within, and recruiting is in shambles. Our military hardware is being depleted.
Perhaps I missed where Russia & Putin called for regime change in the U.S., but I most certainly remember the U.S. saying Putin has to go.

I fully agree that the insanity at our border should be immediately prioritized with whatever resources are required to seal it. But that doesn’t mean we can’t also help a sovereign nation defend itself against a hostile takeover from a ruthless aggressor that is hellbent on ending the era of democracy, especially since the U.S. is treaty-bound to do so (see the Budapest Memorandum).
Perhaps Ukraine should have thought out the consequences of attacking Russian speaking Ukrainians. They played a major role in the decision making of Russia intervening. Of course you cheerleaders refuse to accept that reality, just as you refuse to accept that our country under Obama's leadership, and later under Biden's leadership devised the plan to force the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, in order for this proxy war to play out.
Furthermore, you are only supporting the further destruction of Ukraine and slaughter of Ukrainian men.
Perhaps you should think about the consequences of your actions. You view yourselves as saviors. You're not even remotely close. The best thing to do is figure out a settlement before this war does spin out of control, and the American people become directly involved.

From 2014 through Putin pulling the trigger on the invasion into Ukraine, the Azov battalion had been terrorizing the Russian speaking Ukrainians in eastern Ukraine. Just as I predicted you rejected what is known to be the truth. The Ukrainian legislature outlawed the Russian language from being taught in the schools, and they even went so far as to make speaking Russian in the public square illegal. They then forbid anyone to hire them in government positions, even though many held government jobs. This is the "democracy" you are supporting, while your country becomes even worse than a 3rd world cesspool.
That's sad to see, as we have big problems, and if we fall the entire world falls.
You remind me of Nero who was rather uncaring as Rome burned for 6 days leaving about 70% of the citizens homeless.

Just like the rest of you cheerleaders. Your knowledge is as limited as your your reasons for our involvement. Because those reasons were supplied by your propagandists who perform the thinking for you. They needn’t supply anymore than; Russia invaded Ukraine. Besides that, they know you can’t remember too much anyway. They also know that you lack critical thinking skills, which is why they know they can count on you to foolish follow them over the cliff.
