If she was traveling without her kids, it was probably like a vacation in itself!

Good Lord. Nicole Pomarico is probably single.

I realize it’s not selfish, but thanks for supporting that idea. The people who are selfish are the ones who want something that they didn’t pay for, or even work for.

There was a blonde woman flying coach from LA to Ohio. She was sitting in a seat that had visual access to first class and she spotted an empty seat so, she got up and moved into First Class. Once she was settled a stewardess came by and leaned over and told her that she could not sit there and to go back to her own seat in coach. The blonde said ‘I will not move back to my seat. This seat was empty and I’m going to sit in it until we get to Ohio.’ The stewardess went up to the cockpit and told the Captain and Co-pilot about the situation and the Co-pilot told her he would take care of it so, he went back to the blonde and leaned over and told her she would have to move back to her seat in coach; she did not pay for a First Class seat and therefore cannot stay in First Class to which the blonde replied, ‘I will not move back to my seat. This seat was empty and I’m going to sit in it until we get to Ohio.’ Frustrated, the co-pilot went back to the cockpit and told the Captain and Stewardess what had happened. At that point the Captain said, I’ll talk to her and they watched the Captain go back to the blonde, lean in and speak to her at which point, the blonde got up, grabbed her things and went back to her seat in coach. Amazed, the co-pilot and stewardess asked the Captain how he got her to move?!! He told them that he told her, that First Class was not going to Ohio. :)

The solution is is easy. Tell the lady that she can easily sit next to her daughter if she gives up her first class seat and sits next to her daughter and the cheap seats

On a flight from San Diego to Seattle, when I got to the aisle seat I had reserved months before a burly man was sitting in it. I said nothing, but turned around and found a stewardess (they were stewardesses then) and let her know.

We went to the guy, she checked our boarding passes, and told the guy he had to move to his assigned seat — the middle seat. He refused. Things got nasty, but he did move over.

Then he did major “man spreading”, and put his knees halfway over into my space, and kept elbowing me. A guy across the aisle noticed it and called the stewardess again. When she got there, he made a definite threat to her.

She went forward and came back with the Captain or Co-pilot. (We still were on the ground.) He told the guy he had choices. He could get off before takeoff. He could behave the rest of the trip. Or he could stay on board and not behave. If not, he’d be handcuffed to the seat and turned over to the police in Seattle. I didn’t know they had handcuffs on board but I guess they do.

I suppose he behaved. The stewardess moved me to an empty aisle seat in the front for the trip.

The displaced family members can just cry into a tissue until the flight is over and see each other after the flight. Not my problem.

I had a fat man in my row in first class that appropriated his rolls of fat into my side of the seat - basically cutting off half of my paid for seat. I called the stewardess over and she just immediately got him out of that seat and moved him to an empty row back in about row 28. He cried like a little baby but he was a dirty and smelly 400 pounder.

Why doesnt the first class seated family member go back to coach ???

Offer his seat to the coach passenger sitting next to the other family member ???

They didnt pay for the second first-class seat ...

She did ...

Bad planning or cheap Why should someone else suffer ???

I got rid of a ‘Wokey’ that way a few years ago

I was in almost first class near the front and the row had 3 seats ...

On my way to Europe 8 hour flight ..

I had the window seat and an Wokey looking young female came and sat on the aisle ...

She looked weird, liberal and I didnt want her there for the whole trip ...

I leaned over and smiled and said sweetly “Dear Im an old lady and Im going to have to go to the restroom several times during the trip.”

She looked horrified and jumped up and ran to the stewardess and never came back ...

I ended up having 3 seats to stretch out on ...

:)

A few years ago I got upgraded to First Class due to a flight cancellation. My seatmate was a boy about 12 or so.

His family had been offered one First Class seat and the parents let him have it.

They didn’t ask me to trade. He was a nice kid.

I did once on a flight get asked by the flight attendant to trade seats with another woman. My seat had a seat belt extension. The flight attendant said “she needs the extension and you don’t.” I couldn’t switch seats fast enough!!😆😆

I don't get why it is so important for family members to sit together on a plane. It's just an airplane flight. You can sit a few rows away from your family for a few hours. Plus, when it happens to me, I can order that double Glenfidditch from the stewardess without getting the side-eye from the wife.

Naturally if young children are involved, you want them next to their parent. But no responsible parent would get on a plane without already having worked that out.

My wife was concerned that she could only get a seat for herself and our small child on each side of somebody else's seat. I told her that anybody sitting between a mother and a small child would be GLAD to switch seats.

Another time, on a transcontinental flight, I was getting comfortable next to the window, looking forward to watching the landscape unfold, when a man and little boy sat in the seats next to me.

The little boy started crying.

I heard the father explaining to him quietly that there was nothing they could do etc. etc. etc. I did not feel that the father was trying to manipulate me.

Okay. What're you gonna do?

I turned to the father and said, "Does he want to sit next to the window?"

"He does," the father replied, "But I do not want to take your seat."

"You know," I said to the two of them, "I fly a lot, and I've sat next to the window many times." Then I said to the boy, "Why don't you sit next to the window?"

He was overjoyed!

We all swapped seats. I sat next to the aisle.

I really didn't care. I was glad the little boy got to sit next to the window.

Sure, I’d change to a different similar seat (first class, exit row, etc.) but I’m not riding cattle class after paying for better.

On Southwest one time, I paid the big bucks and went on their website 23 hours and 58 minutes before the flight to get a good boarding pass number. Got like A3 or something. Go to sit down in the exit row and this lady that was before me is saving the row for her friends farther back in line! Good luck with lady, I paid good money for that seat which your 5’2” friends did not and don’t need anyway. I’m not going to be in pain the whole flight so they can get a free upgrade.
