I've noticed that the quality of acting has gone down in the past couple of years. I know it's due to the woke virus. But there has to be more to it. I would like somebody in the business to explain it to us. To. Cruise just made a great movie recently that is entertaining so the formula is still there if you try to follow it.

I initially complained about a black elf and a black dwarf elsewhere — simply because Tolkien never mentioned darker colors for those races — and it still bothers me a bit, but I can tolerate it if it’s not presented as a woke part of the story.
There are Black elves, the main elf, Alvindor or something, is Black. He has an interracial and inter-species romance with a white Hobbit.

Of the five “main” Elves, Arondir is the only black Elf (so far, and not an original Tolkien character), with an interest in a “brown” woman (not a Hobbit, and also not a Tolkien character).
