I didn’t see many war movies as a kid that were not comedies.
Can I talk about a book? I think it was also a film.
I just read this 200 page book last week for the first time at a friends’ suggestion;

“All Quiet On The Western Front” written by
Erich Maria Remarque 1938. It’s about the last days of WW1
as seen in Germany. An explosive book and from a good storyteller.
