Jordan Peterson Should Rethink Donald Trump... but he won't.
Daily Wire Video Jordan Peterson War, Controversy, and Political Polarization ^ | July 5, 2022

Posted on 07/19/2022 10:32:13 PM PDT by GoKnow

Much as I admire Jordan Peterson in the social/psychological/religious/cultural spheres, I wish he should stay the blazes out of American politics. He has no real understanding of what we’re dealing with in this Country politically and why Trump is the only politician who has made positive inroads into solving our problems. And Trump is the person who should be back in the WH in 2024. Like so many academics, JP is squeamish and snobbish about Trump, about his personality. Calls him a divisive figure. Well, Trump is divisive precisely because he’s countering the woke Left and the corrupt media and Deep State in a way that has never happened before and needed to happen. He’s leading the fight against Globalism and the gravy train it produces for political elites. JP wishes for someone like the nonstarter Pence to head the GOP and the nation. This is a pipe dream, irresponsible and dumb. Peterson doesn’t get the fervor of American Patriotism, which is unlike any in the world, and how we have led the world for good under the right leadership. He’s noted how horrible Biden is but can’t come around to contrasting it with the good Trump achieved. Trump was leading a peaceful and financially stable world. Peterson could not even mention that in connection with Ukraine/Russia. Peterson has recently praised the Abraham accords to his Muslim listeners, but without crediting Trump.

He's also dead wrong to slam Trump for fighting election results and the election fraud that’s been rampant. What the hell does he think is going to happen if we don’t clean this mess up? If we don’t follow the rule of law which was clearly violated? Answer: He’s not thinking straight and he’s better off staying in his lane as a psychologist/mentor. To say there’s no proof of election fraud, means he’s done zero real world research on it.

While Peterson’s political opinions are beset with contradiction, it's not likely anyone will ever be in a position to challenge him in a political conversation.

I can’t imagine Trump ever slamming Peterson. Maybe Peterson should find a way to afford Trump the same respect. They both have a huge flock of followers and both of them are doing a world of good. A shame Peterson can’t see that Trump is forging an agenda that also counters woke madness and censorship. Doesn't this line up well with Peterson’s values and message?

The French Resistance was “divisive”.

It's surprising to me he keeps saying that.

He himself was stigmatized over and over again as an extreme right winger, much like Trump. He was protested often, sometimes violently for his stand against the trans police and defending Western civ.

He's one very smart guy, one for this terrible time where the left is showing their teeth.

He's mistaken here, proving even a powerful intellect can be swayed by emotion. I respect him a lot, watched him defend Trump supporters to Bill Maher, much to my delight.

He should know better. Of all people, he should know better.

That’s among the things I like about Peterson. He refuses to be lumped together with others, and is truly independent in his thinking.

He forced them to expose themselves. We all argued about “the liberal media” as though it was a theory, liberals objected and claimed it was just conspiracy theories. As Trump emerged they couldn’t hide it any longer. Now they don’t even try.

At least we see the enemy clearly for all of what they are, including Republicans. Now he has to get reelected and address them directly.

“.. Then he was considered an upstart for daring to think he could run a country without putting in the years of politicking that his enemies have ....”

This is the number one reason why he is hated by them!
His sucess put to the lie that a professional politician is needed. He undermines their whole existence!

The trouble with Jordan Peterson is that he is smart, but he is not saved. He just doesn’t understand giving in to the Spirit.

Screwtape,

It reads like science fiction to me and perhaps it shouldn’t I don’t know.

I’ve never liked anything like Hobbit or Lord of the Rings none of that crap and that’s what his writing reminds me of.

I think he was a friends with Tolkien... so it doesn’t really surprise me.

“The Dobbs decision would not have gone...”
_________________________________
If you are suggesting that Supreme Court justices are susceptible to pressure from the press, you really need more than just a bare assertion.

The left is stronger than ever and if you have any evidence to the contrary, we would all benefit by hearing it. As to the abortion decision, babies are still dying, and the left is continuing the fight by other means. It will take conservatives some time to stop celebrating their “victory” and recognize their enemies’ shift in strategy. In the mean time, our belief in the strength or weakness of our enemies is irrelevant to what must be done.

The left is only as strong as you believe them to be. And that is not irrelevant to the next move of patriots.

And I did not say “the press” with respect to the SCOTUS.

Religion studies college classes were more interesting.

And while apologetics defined is the intellectual defense of the truth of the Christian religion, it is also a branch of theology, the marketing branch I guess.

I don’t need convincing.

I’m not trying to convince you. I’m trying to introduce you to some very great writing by Lewis
