I suspect that they were instructed to make a lot of noise, but don’t attack the people.
Antifa, BLM and FBI controlled operatives were responsible for all the bad things that happened Jan 6. These groups organized the violence and rioting at the Capitol. There are over 2000 Capitol Police. The Washington DC police and FBI were also present. The people who did bad stuff were less than 100.
Everything in the media, Democrat Part narrative is false.
January 6 was a false flag operation to arrest patriotic law abiding Trump supporters.
I thought this was common knowledge....just ignored by the media. I recall at least claims of them being bused in...pictures of the vans. That this was an entire setup, waving people in, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to believe they’d do this.

I love Trump, but his shooting from the hip and walking into traps was his biggest problem. Neither he nor his advisors ever seemed to think things through.
The March on the capital was obviously a disaster in the making. Of course Antifa was going to be there and masquerade as Trump supporters and then do their thing! Pelosi knew it, the media knew about it, we all knew this would happen!
Everyone knew but Trump - he walked right into this setup.
Another example: Trump’s off the cuff campaign joke about Russia having Hillary’s emails assuredly inspired the entire Russian collusion hoax.
Trump was a great president, but he sure walked needlessly into a bunch of sh!t. I for one don’t want to see a repeat of this recklessness in 2024.

Both the FBI and antifa know how to stir up a mob. It's amazing how easy it can be to get a large group of angry people to cross lines they would normally toe. Making noise was part of it, but they were probably a little more organized than just that.

You would think that by the end of his term, he would’ve gotten wise to the ways of the media and democrat plotters. But no.
The entire J6 setup is now culminating in the hearings, which, no matter how one-sided you think they are - are taking a toll on Trump’s current popularity.
The worst part is that this was predictable on J5 based on the previous baseless impeachments.
Yet Trump walked right into it.

Never mind that we could see with our own eyes that the rally attendees were mostly middle aged and out of shape and that they couldn’t possibly have caused all the violence and destruction they were accused of doing. The “journalists” still refused to do their job and report the facts because they were under orders from the Swamp to do whatever it took to get rid of Trump.
Now that the country is saddled with a monumental failure like F. Joe Biden, only then does the truth come out. The damage to America and it’s citizens is done, and we should never forget that it was the media and the progressives who orchestrated it.
Thank God we at least had Trump for 4 years because we now have a conservative court. That’s been the only thing stopping this tyranny of the left.
