That’s already a holiday, and blacks want their own, non unifying, racist holiday.
I celebrate Juneteenth daily.
The day that republicans freed slaves from their Dem owners.

NPR actually read on air the Emancipation Proclamation on Juneteenth. People will be confused.
A better choice would have been Gen. Grangers general orders which he read to the citizens of Galveston, which is when most slaves in Texas learned they were free.
NPR usually reads the Declaration if Independence on July 4th, I will have to pay attention and see if they even bother this year.
Donald Trump was set to hold a campaign rally in Oklahoma on June 19th, 2020. The left needed an angle to complain about this, so they elevated the previously obscure date that almost nobody on earth had ever heard of to "Christmas Day" status amongst black people and all, overnight, decided that they suddenly also celebrated this weird holiday.
I call it "Donald Trump's Juneteenth" for fun. And I enjoy my day off.
Jan. 1st is already a federal day off. I’m positive that they found some obscure reason to make in June 19th so it would give them another day off between that “long” stretch between Memorial Day and Independence day. And also up their quota of woke BLM crap.
It was on June 19th, two years AFTER the proclamation, that it was physically announced to the folks in Galveston by some visiting General.
It is as made up as Kwanzaa is.

A couple for whoever prepared those ten items:
1) Give thanks to our government and the citizens who created it for their recognition that slavery needed to be eliminated.
2) Remember in your hearts the hundreds of thousands of soldiers, almost all white, that died in the war to free you
3) Be aware that, unlike our citizens in the Revolutionary War and other wars, you did not fight for your freedom. It was given to you.
That list of ten things contains so much projection...
