Bipartisan Group of Democrat and RINO Senators Come to Agreement on Electoral Count Act — Will Require 20% of Congress to Challenge a State’s Electoral Votes

The Electoral Count Act is a proposed United States federal law that adjusts the procedures set out in the US Constitution for the counting of electoral votes following a presidential election.

The Act was first enacted by Congress in 1887, ten years after the disputed 1876 presidential election, in which several states submitted competing slates of electors and a divided Congress was unable to resolve the deadlock for weeks.

........ Snip........

Currently, a group of Republican and Democrat senators are working together to adjust the act so that Americans can never challenge a disputed or stolen election in the future.

The proposed rules will require 20% of Congress, the House and Senate, to challenge the results from any state. That will make it impossible for weak Republicans to challenge any future stolen elections.

RINOs believe this is a good idea.

CBS News reported:

A bipartisan group of senators working to reform the Electoral Count Act has reached a general agreement and is working on legislative text during this work period, which ends June 24, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

The group met on Wednesday night to discuss changes to the law, which governs the way Congress counts and certifies votes from the Electoral College after each presidential election.

We had an excellent meeting last night where we resolved almost all of the issues,” Republican Sen. Susan Collins, of Maine, said Thursday.

Collins said the group has already drafted language that would make clear that the vice president’s role is ministerial in the process of counting Electoral College votes.

Actually the meeting was with the #ComDem’s and the RINO’s. All the Trump haters.

You’re also not seeing the flip side, FRiend. If democrats, comprising 20% plus 1, decide to protest a republican won state, then it automatically becomes an issue. If 50% is the threashold for throwing the slate of electors, then a democrat dominated congress can invalidate the will of any state, any time, any where.

basically this shows that nothing Trump attempted was illegal, immoral or unconstitutional.

Only Democrat’s attempts to challenge an election (Gore 2000, Hillary/Stein (doing her bidding) were fine. Hillary’s whining that Trump stole election, fine, Bush /Trump “illegitimate Pres fine.

Biden massive voter. fraud. Dare to raise the issue : conspiracy. jail. media banning.

THIS is the stealing of what’s left of our democracy

The old way required one House member and one Senate member to raise an objection. If that threshold was met, then both chambers had to agree (50%+1) on the same course of action:
either not count the EV’s from that state or count the alternate EV’s submitted by the state legislature. Failing that, the EV’s elected by popular vote count.

Every election from now on will have Democrats in lockstep challenging Texas votes.

RINOS are treasonous scum.

A second time in one evening I see your ignorance coming into full bloom.

Why allow any politician to make any law that helps incumbents keep power?

Making. laws that won’t work now, are just made so they can be easily increased to have more power to them later.

Start with 20%, later down the road increase its to 25%, and thus keep incrementally increasing it until you have 70% needed to challenge something the constitution is already clear on.

You really do not like the way this country has ran for the last 250 years do you?
