I'm releasing this exchange because it's the backstory to understand why Tucker recently had on Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote. She was instructed not to mention "2000 Mules" even though the movie was out and the whole discussion centered around the material in the movie...
The story goes back to early February when I produced a teaser trailer for the upcoming film. Tucker invited Catherine to come on the show and she recommended they run the teaser trailer to go with her interview. Everything seemed all set until...
One of Tucker's producers--a guy named Alex--told me they couldn't run the 90 second trailer. They wanted to use just 45 seconds. Turned out they wanted to cut out my name, Salem Media, and any reference to the movie....
So basically they wanted to steal our content and pretend like they had produced it. I politely said no. I had earlier clarified with Alex that they should either use the full teaser trailer or not. Yet my refusal to let them go ahead provoked the following exchange...

I agree with you. This is bigger than you Dinesh. He should have let them run the teaser. Dinesh would have gotten the credit.

Tucker Carlson isn’t a totally free agent, higher-ups are the final authority. He does get in some good shots against Soros, but that’s even in a more controlled way. I did notice that he went after the Sackler family and the billions they raked in for fueling the opioid crisis, he also went after Paul Singer who specializes in buying up businesses then shutting them down. I’m sure that a constant chorous of “anti-Semitism” got Sackler and Singer off the hook, and an easing up on Soros as well.

Your missing the point. They wanted to trim off the reference to the movie from the trailer FOR the movie.
Yes. It seems like he could have said ‘okay, go ahead and cut the trailer to 45 seconds, as long as Tucker gives the movie a shout out.’ I doubt Tucker would have completely omitted reference to the film - which is what ended up happening because of this guffaw...
Intellectual property. Once IP is used w/o credit and or adapted, it is open source and editing in any direction by anyone who wants if fair game.
And for various reasons this household hasn’t watched Fox News for over two years. It is not a credible source and hasn’t been for a while.

I can agree with this decision if they were also refusing to name the movie and Dinesh’s name during the story monologue/interview. I think it’s a dumb decision to refuse if they were just cutting it out of the trailer, but not the show. The segment would have generated a fair bit of interest in the movie, and would have been worth the edits. Seems a little bit too ego-centric to me. Everyone wants just credit for their work, but you can sacrifice a full trailer for the extra exposure.

In that case, Fox should be talking to him about the movie.
The media is dead we are the media. He’s taken in over $10 million or more since he launched the movie. And when free to vote dumps their information its going to become even more valuable. He doesn’t need Fox Fox needs him. Rag on Fox . He’s right just walk

Like you, our household does not listen to FOX News. Or any television news and commentary. Reading and researching is so much easier and more effective on/at one's own speed.

I don’t think that anyone knows that trimming the reference was the aim. That is Dinesh’s paranoia showing.
No way to know until the show is broadcast. People are aware of the movie and the segment shown would have been identified by the viewers in any case. They have to credit in any case, I think Dinesh shot from the hip & struck his own foot.
I don’t care how ‘offended’ D’Souza is I’m NOT abandoning Tucker!
Tucker does a lot of good….
Fox is RINO GOPe garbage. They see all other conservative media outlets as competitors to be crushed.
