I'm releasing this exchange because it's the backstory to understand why Tucker recently had on Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote. She was instructed not to mention "2000 Mules" even though the movie was out and the whole discussion centered around the material in the movie...
The story goes back to early February when I produced a teaser trailer for the upcoming film. Tucker invited Catherine to come on the show and she recommended they run the teaser trailer to go with her interview. Everything seemed all set until...
One of Tucker's producers--a guy named Alex--told me they couldn't run the 90 second trailer. They wanted to use just 45 seconds. Turned out they wanted to cut out my name, Salem Media, and any reference to the movie....
So basically they wanted to steal our content and pretend like they had produced it. I politely said no. I had earlier clarified with Alex that they should either use the full teaser trailer or not. Yet my refusal to let them go ahead provoked the following exchange...

I see both sides, and I came down on the side of Dinesh. There is never a circumstance where someone gets to use something that doesn’t belong to them without permission and Dinesh said no, and FOX banned him.
I like Tucker although I never watch him or anyone else on FOX, but fair is fair and this wasn’t fair.

Note also as per Dinesh Justin Wells: "We booked Catherine ages ago. The segment came through her. The trailer and everything happened this week. We wanted to help you out. We would have made reference to the film. Absolutely...
The producer was rude but I would attribute some of that to Dinesh upending the timing for the segment at the last minute and not in good faith. He accused rather than asked, demanded at the last minute based on his own paranoia. Really a stupid move. There are many steps between letting someone steal your content and telling them to go to hell without even asking if they would be attributing the clip. Prima donna behavior.
Exactly right and it shows a bit of cowardice towards confronting uncomfortable truths. There are too many of those types in the right.
Seems impulsive and prone to bad judgement. Affair, broke campaign finance law, now this, etc.
Agreed, the producer was a jerk, but Dinesh fundamentally screwed up.
Has Tucker or anyone on Fox mentioned the name of the movie yet?
Mark Levin mentioned it on Gettr. I don’t know if he mentioned it on his radio show.
“I really can’t blame Dinesh for not trusting FOX. FOX has a history of determining what truth is allowed.”

It’s been that way with all news/media outlets since the dawn of time. I understand trying to drum up sales for his films is what he does for a living, but he could buy advert time. A good film sells big just by word of mouth alone.
Yep, that was the record I was referring to.
I think it’s important. Having been on Glenn Beck when he touted my film “Rockin’ the Wall,” even though we did not have any conditions, Glenn graciously ran the production main credits. If you are investing money-—Dinesh’s movie had to cost probably $3m at least-—people deserve to get recognized for ponying up.
Moreover, it is not acceptable for the television show, without the producer’s permission, to cut a trailer. Trailers are mini-movies. Their purpose is to sell the film. Unless the producer agrees, they need to be run in their entirety. In the case Carlson’s team mentioned, the producers obviously allowed Fox to cut the trailer themselves. If the television show demands YOU cut it, well, you might choose to (because it’s its own little film) but that costs considerable $ in editing.
Dinesh is right, and is correct to call them out.
Memo to Dinesh. Fox Snooze is not an important force for good. Hopefully he knows that now.
Dinesh doesn’t come off well? He is being civilized and adult while the other guy is calling names. Seriously?
I don’t know you from Adam, but you sound like the MSM who claim up is down. Sorry if that offends, but when one side is acting like an adult and trying to explain their side and the other is cursing and name calling - doesn’t that seem like what leftists do to you? They can’t make a valid, reasonable, or logical argument so they denigrate the other side?
Anyone still watching Fox Snooze is a mind farmed dupe. They are the controlled opposition at best.
Quit using Twitter! Most of us don’t go there!
There can be a difference of opinion without needing to attack the other person. Sorry that isn’t happening. You are doing what you accuse the left of doing.
The producer was rude as I said, as others said as well. Dinesh is not looking good here either, he overreacted and is trying to escalate the situation on social media.
The producer said “we would have mentioned you” Where is the proof that would not have happened.
Freegards.
“I don’t know you from Adam, but you sound like the MSM who claim up is down. Sorry if that offends, but “
No, I was pointing the similarities in behavior out to you, not accusing you or calling you that. Do you see the difference between saying “You’re just another leftist scumbag,” and saying “you sound like...” And I did say sorry if that was offensive- meaning that I can certainly see how it could be offensive to even call it out.
That said, I have re-read the stream of comments between Dinesh and the tool from Fox and stand by my statements. You don’t act the way the Fox guy did toward other people. Its rude, unprofessional, and uncalled-for. Meanwhile, D’souza tried to explain his point of view and seemed reasonable to me. Protecting his point of view and reasoning without being rude about it. Maybe we just disagree with each other and leave it at that.
Does anyone think that any left wing channel would want to air a truncated version of a promo that helps their side? No, they’d play it in full and praise it repeatedly. Fox should have aired the 90 seconds and given credit where credit is due.
Could you be more specific. Except for Tucker and the one time Brett mentioned it, I have never heard it on any other Fox show. No one ever says Biden stole the election. Or what is happening in WI on election fraud. Or in PA.
Shoe on the other foot! Why didn’t Tucker give in because it is important?
Who cares say yes!
