The world’s richest is officially launching his bid for a hostile takeover of one of the most censorship-obsessed Big Tech platforms in the country!
Bloomberg News reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is “saying the company has extraordinary potential and he will unlock it.” The value of the offer, according to Bloomberg, amounts to a whopping $43 billion. Musk announced the move in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Musk tweeted April 14, “I made an offer.”
This follows Musk’s cryptic rejecting of a seat on Twitter’s board of directors after his purchase of a massive 9.2 percent stake in the platform. CNBC reported recently that “[i]f Musk had joined the board, he would not be able to acquire more than 14.9% of the company’s shares.” He apparently wasn’t satisfied with the shareholder cap and is now looking to buy up the outstanding stock to control the entire platform.

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk has offered to buy all the shares in Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) — that he already doesn’t own — at $54.20 per share, an amendment to a 13D filing made with the SEC on Thursday morning shows.
This would represent a 54% premium over the social media company’s stock’s closing price on January 28, the day before Musk began investing in Twitter and 38% premium over April 1 closing price — the day before Musk’s stake in Twitter was disclosed.
“I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy,” Musk told Twitter Chairperson Bret Taylor on Wednesday, as disclosed in the filing. “However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.”
Musk also said he believes “the company should be private to go through the changes that need to be made.”
This comes after Musk declined to join the Twitter board.

A Hostile Takeover in finance is when a person wishes to buy the company, but the company does not want to be bought.
If the company wants to be bought out it is called either a Merger or an Acquisition, depending on if it involves two publicly traded companies or is just a buy of publicly available stock.

“A hostile takeover bid is an attempt to buy a controlling interest in a publicly-traded company without the consent or cooperation of the target company’s board of directors.”

I’ve been saying for years that there’s money on the table for conservative millionaires to take on biased media.
Assume this actually happens and free speech is allowed on Twitter. Assume DJT is welcomed back with open arms, all previous tweets restored. Would that serve to strangled Truth Social in its crib?
