“Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.”
Billionaire Elon Musk has been seen as very helpful to Ukrainians when he quickly launched Starlink internet services after the country lost access to the web. The orbital internet technology is far more challenging for Russia to cut off than localized ISPs.
But it wasn’t just Russia wanting to deny Ukrainians an uncensored internet. World leaders called on Starlink to block Russia news broadcasts from reaching Ukrainians as well.
“Starlink has been told by some governments (not Ukraine) to block Russian news sources. We will not do so unless at gunpoint. Sorry to be a free speech absolutist.”

I think he’s “for real”, but might not be what you want. He seems to be a hard worker and has his own mind. He is not at all beholden to convention and in fact rejects it.
If you are a believer in “truth” he is somewhat refreshing, but his truth may not be yours.
My take, anyway.
But of course they are: They “elected” a comedian with ties to globalists - and American leftists - deliberately stoked a conflict, and wonder why they’re now paying the price.
Yeah, “sophisticated.” Just as sophisticated as the American left electorate.

I’m siding with Ukraine, but 100% in favor of Musk’s stance on this.
As long as it is not byow I guess.
but thinking about that for a second, Hemp would be an ideal crop for mars farms.
I have read librarys of scifi but never seen that as a crop cultivated in their gardens, but the uses of hemp in a non earth environment would be multitude.
Bttt your post
Not if you watched the Joe Rogan interview. He did take a puff or two but that was all, and he really talked against it during the interview.
Sorry, but I don’t get your reply to me. I was answering your post that nasa “owns” him.
As you say, nasa has lost it, and with it, manned space. Musk owns that, now. So, nasa can’t cancel him as long as they need people in space.
;-)
So...they say we landed safely on the moon in 1969, but they just can’t quite seem to figure out how to make a spacesuit 53 years later? Anybody else smell bullshit on this one?
The point of my post is that Musk is still relying on NASA for many things.
The link I gave indicated Musk was waiting for NASA to fix their spacesuit “problem”.
That is just one example.
For now NASA and Musk are still tied at the hip.
Musk was born in South Africa. He could run for Senate against Coryn but is not eligible to be president.
Yup—you are asking the right question.
You can private message me if you wish to discuss further.
Me too, but his father was South African, his mother was Canadian, and he was born in South Africa.
” nasa can’t cancel him as long as they need people in space.”
not exactly, although the SLS is a clustermuck.
I have some of my own designs which for example another company Blue origin is using some elements of.
besides this Russia sanctions thing is mostly dick waving. soon things will become normally flaccid and we will buy gas and rocket engines, titanium and palladium etc
Oh. Thank you. I misread the suit issue.
I think his Tesla cars are also joined to government EV incentives, too.
I don’t mind too much, though. I think he’s driving them crazy using their rules against them.
We had Obama and Cruz that SCOTUS doesn’t seem to care about eligibility of the president.
Musk is playing a game of chicken.
I definitely admire his cojones, not sure about his wisdom though.
;-)
The Russia technology is OLD, isn’t it?
I have been impressed with Space-X. I think it will soon eclipse all other existing capabilities.
Good. I have heard Star link will service the QFS system and the new QFS internet.
Humanity is a Bell curve. I don’t agree with him about much, but without people like him, we would all be swinging clubs.
