Stephen Paddock had a history that smells a lot like "high-level agency informant" with a grant of immunity to commit various crimes. He had a lot of money with no visible means of earning it.

I remember that Bin Salman was on the floor above and considered a target. He was at a casino when it happened and the shooting was not just in the hotel.

Who was trying to kill him. Heads rolled in Saudi after that. But who was behind the dead heads? Who were they dealing with?

Will we ever really know? I can’t imagine why the FBI would cover it up if it were ISIS related. But then there are some people in the US with ISIS connections proven by photos.

Thank you. A much more detailed picture of events. I doubt the part about "our own Delta" team being part of the operation, but the rest sounds like a good approximation of what went down.

"Our guys" had some advance notice. It was clever mis-direction and they were deployed in all the wrong places against all the wrong threats. A huge cluster****.

Paddock was likely an informant and working "both sides of the street". If he did try to call off the operation, his partners may have killed him on the spot.
