“All the coach was doing was preventing a Personal Foul. The player looked like he was going to jump into the fray.”

Not seeing earlier actions. Reported that Adams was pulling opponent off the pile by the leg. Potential ejection. Bucs already short safeties.

Guess you’ve never had a football coach grab your face mask and jerk you around by it as punishment.

I have and THAT’S uncalled for AND humiliating as hell...compared to that what Arians did was a love tap IMO.

I don’t have a problem with it. Not like he hauled off and clubbed him, which probably would have broken his hand since the guy had his helmet on. And it’s not like he’s a college coach where you’re raising kids basically and you can’t put your hands on them. It was a light smack, get him away from the ref and not drawing a penalty.

It was the perfect response to a potentially damaging situation.

The idiot was running his mouth with the ref right there. The coach “coached” him.

Just tell us how bad a screwup you did to get yourself helmet jerked? And did you ever do it again? On my teams an industrial grade forearm shiver on the next play usually adjusted attitudes properly.

We need a serious commentator. Is Mike Ditka alive? Or we could borrow Don Cherry.

“If it was bad for Meyer, it’s bad for Arians.”

Lambo:

Oct. 19, 2021 - Released by Bucs
Nov. 11, 2021 - Released by Pittsburg

But then, it’s like Bidumb. He’s not really the coach: Brady is.

I disagree. Arians is a top tier coach, and that is one of the reasons that Brady picked Tampa. Brady has enough on his plate being Brady without trying to be the head coach, too.

You got the Woody Hayes story wrong.

He assaulted an OPPOSING player after a play ended out of bounds along the OSU sideline. The player had just intercepted a pass to end what could have been the game-winning drive in the Gator Bowl (in 1978, I think).

If I was the player I would have turned and cold-cocked the guy right there on the field.

Maybe Antonio Brown had a good reason to melt down and run off the field half-naked.

The grown, adult men, who’ve played contact sports before, thank you for your comments.

We truly have become soft.

Goes back to the saying about good and bad times, hard and soft men.

Nobody should have to endure that humiliation.

Ask Lou Holtz about it.

ROTFLMAO!

“Maybe Antonio Brown had a good reason to melt down and run off the field half-naked.”

Antonio Brown was/is a basket case. He should of been kissing Arians feet for letting him play.

Oh good grief... the player’s wearing a high tech helmet. If anything got hurt, it was the coach’s hand.

He very likely prevented Adams from getting ejected. There was NOTHING of violent intent here.

The players LOVE this Coach... cause they all know, he LOVES them.
