I worked in the blood testing industry. I’m not a doctor or a scientist but today you cannot perform multiple diagnostic tests on a single drop of blood and get accurate results. This is what Theranos claimed that the Edison could or would eventually do. My thought is why would anyone rely on clinical data from a single drop of blood? On multiple tests? What is the gain? The risks are too high and the rewards are too low.

Mattis strikes me as the type of man that would have a giant, glamorized poster of Marilyn Monroe in his office.

This is a ridiculous flex that devolves into butthurt about ... memecoins like dogecoin. How droll.

The authors -- if they could even be called 'authoring' this drivel -- could have substituted "China" for "Theranos" and understood that their mid-piece pivot makes no sense, these are the exact same names attached to China for much larger 'coin', as it were.

None of these people lost a nickel over Theranos nor were deprived of their liberty, save for the mastermind who took the fall solely because, well, she actually is a megalomaniac.

America has always had "elites". Smug, self-satisfied, cocky, arrogant.....but at least they also used to be brilliant, intelligent, inspirational, and willing to lead.

My favorite example was Alexander Hamilton. He thought that America should be ruled by an educated elite class who knew more than the average American. He was all those things above- lead men in battle, and helped stabilize American currency to the point where US money was a viable means of exchange.

Today's "elites" are complete idiots.

“Regards,”

You just applied the most important, yet unspoken rule in engineering: “Somebody’s got to be the Asshole”.

Each of his investors, almost exclusively Jewish, had an indelible and exquisitely brutal superiority complex that paved the way for Madoff’s scam to succeed. He was intimately familiar with this insular personality type and shamelessly cultivated and expertly exploited their common fatal flaw.

From the Marine officers I know, attitudes on Mattis were binary. You either loved him or hated him. Those that hated him would say ‘Not Marilyn Monroe - he would be more likely to have a giant, glamorized poster of himself in his office!’.

My observations from afar, his behavior toward Trump, etc. makes me think those that hated him have the true Mattis.

Here she is taking advantage of a senile old man.

Elizabeth Holmes, founder and CEO of Theranos, left, listens as Vice President Joe Biden, right, speaks during a visit to Theranos manufacturing in Newark, Calif., on Thursday, July 23, 2015.

My personal favorite initiate for any type of testing is to:

Genetic testing and information storage of every living and every new born person, to include aborted, allowing for the complete mapping of human interaction leading to new births.

With is testing, in a single generation, we could figure out who the father is of any pregnancy.

The significance of this is to root out incese and rape of girls who report they know not the father.

In a single generation we could eliminate the majority of “children raising children” by ensuring those who inpregnate young girls are both held responsible, and programs and educate in the general population to prevent incese.

The amount of damage to inter-city communities by children raising children could be rooted out and welfare spending reduced.

The positive effects of such a program would allow all people to be born into more positive, privately financed family’s and as such their ability to achieve a better K-12 educate.

Eliminate the boyfriends, brothers, uncles, stepfathers from the pregnancy of young girls left in their care could revolunize a broken community in a single generation.

Avoiding veinous blood collection would seem like an attractive potential advantage. Cut out the middleman and all that rot.

Blood glucose tests have always used one drop.
