we had a close friend go thru the exact thing you are going thru ...he had radiation then some chemo and then had the surgery...except the 6 weeks turned into longer because of covid delays....afterwards, he developed a bit of an ileus and it took him a while to get thru that....

but he's back to normal, eats like a monster and goes cross country skiing....

Sounds like a tough time...but, it’s amazing how we know people are sending up prayers for us (our spirits get life lifts!!) and that they are being answered through Jesus by The Holy Spirit to our spirit!!!!

I pray for your total healing. Yes, it takes some time for intestines to heal, but I know several who have had a near situation and six months later, they are just humbled at what medical science can do these days.

I have to remember to see this as not forever. Both of us are getting better at coping and learning every day.

The surgeon is on Thursday for my first follow up.
