The Gallup Poll cancelled the “most admired man/woman” poll, and the suspicion is that they did so because they thought Trump would win. Maybe Trump was going to get a Golden Globe, too.

What a great scam. Get a group of about 80 people to give out awards to celebrities and collect $60 million a year just from the US television rights.

They probably charge sponsorships, sell their votes to studio heads, and also collect fees from film producers to air clips of the movies up for nomination during the presentation.
