The Texas Senator who has been morphing into a wolf like caricature, left himself naked to his enemies yesterday by his own choosing. After proclaiming the J6 protestors were “violent terrorists”, the articulating stutterer must have realized he stood on a political landmine.
Ted Cruz quickly appeared on Fox News with Tucker Carlson in an attempt to regain credibility. It’s interesting that Cruz chose the Tucker Carlson show for the effort, and it’s interesting that Carlson gave him the opportunity. However, the result was predictable. You cannot create authenticity where only inauthenticity exists. If you try, what you end up with is a hole digger that keeps digging. WATCH:

I will support a politician who will fight, fight, fight against the Progressives. Ted is not my guy. He spends a fair amount of time fighting us.
We have two rino senators in Texas:
milquetoast cornyn and stab you in the back cruz.
I saw it. Cruz came off as a big BS artist...that failed.
Best part? Tucker told him he was lying.

Lyin’ Ted at it again. Somebody posted an item here on another thread dated 1/8/21 that read that Cruz characterized the entire incident at the Capitol a “terrorist attack,” not just attacks on cops.

He also has a mouthy daughter problem...but not near as bad as that conway daughter

Yep. Nailed it. Cruz never dealt with Tucker’s core question. To wit: “Why did you knowingly play into the hands of a cabal seeking to criminalize Trump suporters?”
Cruz’s excuse that he spoke stupidly does not hold water. He does not speak stupidly.

Tucker clubbed Ted like a baby seal. He deserved it.
Good point. He certainly needs to have a long conversation with his child.
Basically he was trying to ingratiate himself with the Dems and moderates with his statement. Then realized he had betrayed his base so came on Carlson to ingratiate himself with them.
I now see him as more of a typical politician only after personal gain and power. Willing to be like a leaf on the surface of water—-be blown any direction by the wind. In other words more of what we have been getting in politics for most of my life.
Or Reagan’s son.
I wish Carlson would have listed some of the charges against the people rotting in that DC jail, being run by a rabid Anti-Trump official. Then ask Cruz why they’re not allowed a bond. He was Solicitor General for Texas so he knows the law and courtroom procedure.
Then ask him to jibe all of that with the fact that recently a guy shot shot and killed a cop was offered a bond. A guy who was arrested on child molestation charges was offered a bond. Why ANTIFA/BLM, in most cases, didn’t have any bonds. Why Sullivan, a know. ANTIFA guy who was in the Capitol that day, was taken into custody and released? Why Rhodes and Epps are still out walking when they’re on film instigating the whole thing?
Hard to say of Carlson is legit or just another character in the kabuki theater.
Sloppy Ted Cruz, what a chump weasel.
Cruz made a mistake. He apologized. We need to hold his feet to the fire and move on. Tucker made him pay on national television. It's enough for me.
Remember, Ted Cruz was once solicitor general of the state of Texas fighting the Obozo regime before the supreme court a dozen or more times and WON for the citizens of Texas.
So, he’z not all bad.
