I am highly educated and reasonably perceptive, and it was only today that I learned the Kyle Rittenhouse victims were white.
My progressive bubble made this seem like a very different case than it is.
Funny, I thought progressives were color blind. Who woulda thunk.

Give the person some credit for seeming to get a grip on reality, if only for a moment. I feel it’s beneficial not to question, mock, or think ill on somebody for expressing their amazement at the truth.

But saying "none" of the progressives learn isn't accurate. There have been some notable leftists who have been so horrified by the distortions coming from the rest of the left that they've turned on them. They haven't become conservatives, but they have become anti-leftists liberals. Examples are Matt Tiabbi, Glenn Greenwald, and Jonathan Turley. They've all written some great stuff over the last few years.

The sad truth is if he really did shoot two blacks in self-defense he wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance of getting a fair trial.
A lot of people here are cursing her because she has been on the wrong side, rather than being happy that she is gaining awareness about how much she has been lied to. We shouldn’t condemn someone for realizing they were in a bubble and they are starting to get critical about what the establishment tells them.
Really, a busy person who half-listens to the news would hear something like, “a white supremacist...with a military assault rifle...attacked a peaceful civil rights demonstration...shot and killed people...tried for murder...” The media propaganda machine is everywhere, it repeats the same things, a single narrative, giving little real info. This “bubble” is all some people know unless reality breaks through somehow.
People on the left and I saw someone on Gutfeld yesterday, are totally wrong about the facts of the case. The people shot were white. They were very threatening. They attacked Kyle. Kyle turned himself into the police seconds afterward. The police did nothing. One even thanked him for being there.
Some say Kyle crossed state lines with his gun. Just so everyone knows. The gun never crossed state lines. Kyle’s home is to Kenosha Like Jersey is to New York. Kyle worked in Kenosha. Kyle has a gun permit, as does every third kid in Wisconsin. The antifa people who were shot lived farther away. And they had long rap sheets with horrific crimes. They were coordinating with the vandals.
Kyle said he lied about being an EMT. But he was a life guard who had gone through a life saving course. And he carried a bag of bandages and other first aid supplies. Kyle had spent the day cleaning off graffiti in the town. And he was hired to watch over a used car lot which had been vandalized the night before.
The people on cable news are purposely trying to kill this kid because if he wins, then self defense against antifa wins. They don’t want that. The news channels have even attacked people who donated to Kyle’s legal team. This has everything to do with antifa not Kyle. Can you defend yourself versus antifa or not. That question is on trial here. And a kids life is in the balance. The news does not care if Kyle dies or not.
