The British promised Benedict Arnold £20,000’s for West Point.

We’ve seen this movie before.

For some it’s greed, for others it’s ego, still others it’s just science for science, likely some combination of the three. Morals and ethics mean nothing as long as their form of payday is achieved.
Just wait till the big players in the US military industrial complex completely jump to authoritarian regimes when the US doesn’t want to pay for their toys.
I had a rep from a major space manufacturer say that they did not have to offer their service to the civil market as they were making enough money from the government. Space x and the new generation of companies are eating their profits now so who do you think they will jump to next?

Years ago when I was warning of Wal Mart buying all their goods from China and our offshoring of companies I was lambasted by my conservative friends for being a union thug (im self employed), anti capitalist and anti free market.

I always knew I was right.

many of the issues we’re experiencing today would never have happened if we ENFORCED THE LAW

this goes back to the mid 90s with china-gate

our mil-tech wouldn’t have been given to the chinese via the clinton admin... and the chinese manufacturing base would’ve remained in the 50s without the push by the clintons via walmart and the WTO

0bama wouldn’t have been allowed to run as his father was kenyan... and hillary would’ve been in prison or stood down by the charges of treason. this would’ve resulted in 2008 going to romney. better? who knows. at least he wouldn’t be handing mil-tech to our enemies.

fauci and crew wouldn’t have any supporters in the whitehouse... which means the covid research wouldn’t have been started at Ft Detrick and would never have been pushed to wuhan.

Amazing what happens when you don’t ENFORCE THE LAW

The Soviets had great success with the theory that any American could be bought for twice their annual salary. There were very few instances when they used a personal grudge or principle as a recruiting tool (Clayton Lonetree was one), it usually was pure greed.
