Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed on the New Mexico set of the Alec Baldwin film “Rust” after she was shot by a prop gun fired by the film’s star and producer, Alec Baldwin. IATSE Local 44, which covers prop masters, sent an email to its members early Friday morning that said the gun used in the scene contained “a live round” and the production’s propmaster was not a member of Local 44. Director Joel Souza also was hit and injured by a bullet and was treated at an area hospital before being released.

In the email that IATSE Local 44 sent to its membership, Secretary-Treasurer Anthony Pawluc described the event as an “an accidental weapons discharge” in which “A live single round was accidentally fired on set by the principal actor, hitting both the Director of Photography, Local 600 member Halnya Hutchins, and Director Joel Souza … Local 44 has confirmed that the Props, Set Decoration, Special Effects and Construction Departments were staffed by New Mexico crew members. There were no Local 44 members on the call sheet.”

Now, who would put a real round in a prop gun?.................HMMMMMMMMMMMMM...........
The movie “Rust” is about an accidental killing....with a gun.
Wait till we find out it was Baldwin's personal gun.
This a job for Columbo.
Real gun. Live bullet.
Well, that explains how he killed one and injured another with a single shot. It wasn’t a blank.
It is obvious Baldwin has absolutely no knowledge of basic gun safety. His negligent gun handling should net him a manslaughter or negligent homicide charge.
Fat chance of that, though.
Baldwin may not face criminal charges, but he’s going to take a huge financial hit. The movie will likely never be completed and he’s going to get sued. He’s one of the producers.
Makes sense, considering that a person is dead.
So not only is he an scumbag drunk asshole lib, now he is guilty of negligent homicide, probably get the medal of freedom our diaper wearing president.
Tragedy.. Poor woman. You could almost feel sorry for Baldwin, too..... almost. Too bad it wasn’t the suicide scene at the end where he offs himself. :/
The movie is about an accidental killing.
What idiot pointed a weapon at someone they didn’t intned to....oh, never mind....
This is why we cover ourselves in liability insurance.
The true tragedy is that “Team America: World Police” wasn’t a real life documentary.
It is now being reported some crewmembers was using it for live target practice a day or two before the shooting.
On movie sets a safety officer is required to show the gun to the actor and then show that it is unloaded and both have to agree it is unloaded.
If you or I were out hunting, or doing some demonstration of firearms, and the same thing happened - you know political D.A.s would aggressively prosecute. 3rd degree murder - at minimum, with accessorial charges for anyone there.
Will the same happen to Baldwin and folks on set?
Prepare for lots of leftist hypocrisy.
Yeah. A big mistake was made, and this falls back on the movie producers. I’m sure, in keeping with the leftists’ style of blame, they will find someone other than the people bankrolling the movie to throw under the bus.
