I think Alec Baldwin is a great actor.
I think Alec Baldwin is an A$$HOLE.
BOTH can be true at the same time.
How that be possible without ill intent?
He's known for fits of rage. The entire thing sounds suspicious to me but that's my nature these days. Come on, Baldwin is 68 years old and you mean to tell me that he doesn't know basic gun safety? b.s. Something else seems to be in play here. Perhaps she spurned his affections toward her; maybe he really wanted to see what it 'felt' like to shoot somebody. Who knows... What I do know is that karma is a b*tch and he's overdue for some.
due process? pffft Like the due process afforded to us by the likes of him? I hope he burns for this.
This one:
Alec was filming a scene on the set of his new Western movie, Rust, that required him to fire a gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks.
But, the gun discharged either shrapnel or a bullet, which hit two people on set including the director of photography, Halyna Hutchins.
Exactly. Baldwin as producer hired the non union New Mexican gun handlers. And he blew away the lady cinematographer with a real gun and real bullet.
The underlying issue is why are there any live rounds on a movie set.
Worse! They put live rounds into a real gun on set and handed it to the killer.
That doesn’t say exactly how it happened.
They were filming a scene. Apparently the scene called for firing at the camera where the cinematographer and writer/director were standing. It’s been stated it was a live round and it hit them both.
Look for anti-gun PSA’s...starring Alec Baldwin.
"Accidental"? No, it was a "negligent" weapons discharge.
"After the fatal shooting at the movie ranch, a 2017 tweet of Baldwin's resurfaced, in which he responded to video of a police shooting in California by writing: 'I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone...'
That police shooting was later ruled justified."
Someone should ask that arrogant, smarmy prick the same question.
Prop guns that fire blanks are real guns, they can’t handle real ammo, at least the old revolvers did and some of the rounds that are used were old favorites of the western era.
But my inquiring mind wants to know why the switch-a-roo? To see certain people squirm or maybe see certain people dead?
Or were they out in the middle of New Mexico and somebody kept a loaded gun around because of snakes? And guess what got handed off... the snake gun. There’s a lot of questions.
Anyway, I think if I was an Alec Baldwin type of personality, and I was making a movie I think I would actually check rounds. But Alec is stupid... around Firearms anyway.
This was necessary to protect the investors from undesired liability.
I can’t help but wonder whether Baldwin and company may have cut a lot of corners to avoid the trouble and expense of involving experts in evaluating their operation in order to avoid financial exposure.
Baldwin may have leveraged his reputation in order to convince others to be involved perhaps without having all the proper safeguards in place.
Many, many questions at this stage.
Where did gun come from?
Did it have a Serial number?
Antique gun used for realism?
Where did live round come from?
Why was it not checked beforehand?
Whose job is it to check weapons?
Is there a Safety Officer on set at all times like there is an Animal Welfare officer?
and many more.......................
Baldwin hired non union gun handlers because union gun handlers were threatening a strike and Baldwin didn’t want to delay production. So he hired scabs instead.
KARMA for Baldwin, it ALWAYS gets them it may never be fast enough for us BUT it ALWAYS comes around!!!
So you think God allowed someone to be killed in order to punish Baldwin for saying mean things. Wow!
What idiot loaded that gun with a live round? They’re the one responsible.
