When I was in high school in the 1970s if you called a black guy the “N” word, you got a punch in the nose.

It is even crazier than that. Most of the blacks on TV are light-skinned blacks--so probably we are talking about less than 5% of the population.

For those who don't know, light-skinned blacks had traditionally been higher in the "socially acceptable" pecking order, particularly among the white leftists who run large institutions.

I went to ostensibly the worst high school in the nation. It was so bad that a woman who taught there wrote a book about her experiences. It became a hit movie “Dangerous Minds” with Michelle Pfeiffer.

On the basketball court one day, a fight almost broke out and a white kid called a black kid the ‘N’ word. The black kid was livid, told the teacher and the PE teacher said, “So what? You guys call eachother that word all the time.”

If those black folks want us to take this thing seriously, they’ll stop calling each other that terrible word. Period.
