Daily Wire reported that Cruz blocked an attempt by Senate Democrats to push through a federal election overhaul bill early Wednesday morning.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brought the For The People Act, a bill critics say amounts to a federal takeover of elections, to the floor around 3:30 a.m. after the Senate had concluded 15 hours of amendment votes on a $3.5 trillion budget resolution. In the dead of night, Schumer sought to pass the federal overhaul of elections by unanimous consent, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Well, considering that Mitch wasn't awake nor any of his cronies, it's a safe bet that Dewhurst certainly wouldn't have been awake. People should have realized after the 2018 mid-terms that McConnell was doing everything he could to give the Senate back to the RATS. That was the election when there were three or four seats available in West Virginia, Arizona, and Montana that could have locked up the Senate for years, but McConnell made sure to pick loozars. Once that was taken care of, he could point to 2020 to complete the surrender with more loozars and we can't even wish a dirt nap on him while there's a RAT governor in Kentucky.

RINOs are the reason for the woke clown world we now live in. If everyone with an (R) after their name had been a true conservative in these legislatures, then Trump would still be president and the Senate would not now be controlled by Democrats.
Vote every one of these traitors out in the 2022 primaries for their part in the Steal. If the Steal is not a good enough reason for voting them out, then nothing will ever get rid of this vermin.
They needed just one republican. Cruz was on duty. You have to have one nay to make them call for a roll call vote. And that has to be scheduled. So as long as one sure republican is there its stopped. Schumer may have been hoping. But he was pretty sure a republican Nay vote was going to show up.

I believe there was foreknowledge of this maneuver, meaning that what we saw was likely a show. Schumer tries to get the commie takeover voting bill passed by unanimous consent, Cruz blocks it, and they both walk away with propaganda opportunities.
