Try a stovetop percolator. They’re not expensive, but the way they sound and smell in the morning is very happy - and the coffee is superior.

I’m more of an English Breakfast tea drinker. I used to drink a lot of coffee 20+ years ago. Several pots a day. Now, just the occasional cup maybe a few a week if the night is short or the day is long. The wife can’t get enough of it though.
