I recently went down the bunny hole of critical race theory (I have yet to come up for air), immersed in completing an essay on the topic out of frustration of my failure to source any cogent write-up on the topic whatsoever.
In polishing some formatting (grammar, spelling, etc.), I came across an MS Word 'highlight' on my use of the word 'dumbass'. I right clicked to hit 'ignore' and was astonished to view the result, something I'd not seen prior.
Just sharing (screenshot below).
Sirius / XM doesn’t do that (yet). I heard that in the last couple weeks, nothing Bowdlerized.

Depends on what professional options you turn on. Grammar and style vs grammar and whatever they coded in this week. But it’s been there for a while. I definitely remember “more business” suggestions in Word 95.

Yep, that’s autocorrect for ya.
I tell my students to turn it off — when they use it they learn nothing, as they just click on the suggested fix without thinking.
I was typing up a Word version of a travel journal from a trip I made a few years ago. Was typing about the black panther I saw at a zoo and MS kept capitalizing black panther!!
I bought the CD when it came out. So it still has the word in the song. Used to ____ me off when the radios station version inserted a moment of silence in place of the word.
Two words:
Office 2003. Lean. Not woke.

I use Amazon Prime for my music and noticed they they removed the whole verse from the song.

I use Office 2010, nothing further, and LibreOffice. Everything since 2010 (2013, 2016, 2019, 365) keep taking away functionality was in 2010 and earlier versions.
