Wind power is a joke - all renewables are for that matter.
Clean coal, natural gas, nuclear (or nuqular like GW Bush used to say) are the ways to go.

During that call, Warren Lasher, ERCOT senior director of system planning, said, “it’s unclear why we are seeing so many unplanned outages right now.”Good grief. It's YOUR JOB to know dipwad!

Yeah the winds are light today, which means those infernal turbines are taking a personal day. Idiots.

"Please take these simple actions to help reduce electric use" No, please go get off your lazy effing asses and build some REAL power plants.

This is a totally unforced error by the most energy-rich state in the nation. The over-reliance on “renewable” energy is making me re-think my intention to move from CA to TX.

“it’s unclear why we are seeing so many unplanned outages right now.”It is the result of wind and solar. They just don't get it.

Well, Texas is a hell of a lot hotter than California. Today was unbearable with the humidity.

IMHO, solar is good if you do it yourself. Think more libertarian than like a big-government-one-size-fits-all-we-know-whats-best-for-you greenie libtard.
Few things have made me feel more libertarian than putting solar on my house and producing most of the power I need on my own and freeing me from worrying if the godless Dims will force energy changes at the national or local level. But that only works if you do your research and customize a solar/inverter/battery system for your specific power demands and schedule.
