While traders were flocking to GameStop earlier this year, the stock was also capturing the imagination of U.S. teenagers, according to a survey from Wells Fargo.

A third of teens say they are learning financial lessons from the internet and social media, according to the survey of 13 to 17 year olds and parents of teenagers. And almost half of the teens say they are more interested in investing thanks to GameStop, whose shares have surged due to its popularity among members of online investor forums. The survey follows Fidelity Investments' launch earlier this month of a commission-free brokerage account for 13- to 17-year-olds that allows stock trading on a mobile app, as it looks to attract the next generation of investors.

I bought AMC really, really cheap. It’s now north of $40 dollars.

Gambling.

Not investing.

The kids are enjoying gambling.

We’ll at that age, I’m just glad they’re even paying attention to the stock market.

At 19 learning a lesson of gaining and losing $500 bucks is a way better lesson to recover from than at 35-40 with tens of thousands.

Plus they’re becoming capitalists.

Exactly. I put a measley $400 in AMC. I’m up about $1300 over my original BET. I’m not approaching this as an investment but maybe some easy cash to invest bling term.

While getting my car inspected, I got into a discussion with a young man who had walked in. There were stories of people who sold Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Gamestop stock and bought cars for cash ... that is a big deal to this generation.

The PR folks call gambling “gaming” these days.

So it really is gaming!

The Reddit kids at WallStreetBets are pissing off the conniving, thieving old goats at Citadel who are losing their shorts with GME.
