"I Got Mine" Won't Work Anymore

Posted on 05/01/2021 7:03:47 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Okay my friends. How do we fight the catch phrases like 'income inequality'? Makes us the defensive right off the bat. They just have to point to the obvious wealth out there to say it's unfair. 'No one working 40 hours/week should live in poverty.' Blowing them off doesn't do anything for the younger generation-communist. They're lost. College loans, putting off marriage, investing in Obamacare they don't need. Major surgery is needed and the poverty pimps have an easier time stroking resentment while we quietly go about our business. What's the solution?

Income equality means everyone is relatively poor. It does away with the idea of starting at the bottom and working your way up as you learn and produce. It does away with building a good life. Citizens get a crummy life but it’s an easy crummy life. Lazy people like it.

Income equality means less innovation. Why bother, you don’t get anything for it.

Income equality means no one bothers to excel at anything
because there is no reward for doing so. Medicine, science, technology, invention, all slow to a crawl as there is no incentive.

Dang straight I was happy to pay my heart surgeon $8000 for a couple hours’ work, and the whole team around $125,000 for the complete valve job.

It’s gone from “you don’t work, you don’t eat”, to “you worked hard to be successful, now give all your money to feed those who refuse to work”.

It’s not magic. Create something of value to billions of people (such as Amazon or Microsoft) and you will become a billionaire.

Create nothing of value to anybody and you will be poor.

Hmmm, I dunno, maybe stroking is more right in this context. Kind of a circle jerk of jealousy, covetousness, resentment, anger, and laziness. I hear so many who hate capitalism and believe they should be entitled to have all the goodies handed to them without effort on their part, simply because they exist. Spouting this “progressive” nonsense makes them and their comrades feel good, and the circle continues...

I despise the the word "worker". Everyone should be an independent contractor. Right down to diswashers. That would vastly improve service and productivity.

Further, we should all be responsible for our own unemployment insurance, disability insurance, workers comp insurance and retirement.

That would vastly improve accountability.

Also, we should all be responsible for paying for our own education as well as our children's. This would vastly improve parents' interests in what their children are being taught.

We're paying for those things one way or another anyway but this cuts out the extra layer of wasteful, corrupt and incompetent government middleman.

Also, we should end daylights savings time.

Commence flaming.

“Everyone should be an independent contractor.”

I decided that was the path for me at 26 and never regretted it.

I'll add one more to your already good list.

Get married and STAY married.

Yes, absolutely!

Nothing destroys a comfortable retirement more for a man than a divorce.

It is always cheaper to keep her.

Now I might leave my wife for Emmylou Harris but that's a long shot and probably not attainable.

Get married just once and make it work!

I have no problems with the “I’ve got mine” crowd. I have real problems with many of those same people doing what they can to prevent others from getting their own. This happens when wealthy people put roadblocks in the way of free enterprise, through union monopolies, regulatory mazes, zoning that excludes affordable housing from places like Silicon Valley and competition destroying combines of oligarchs such as the media, social and otherwise. They climb the ladder of success and then pull it up after them.

Taxes eat most people’s incomes regardless of income level.

‘live below your means and save/invest the difference.’ It’s easier to take it.

First thing are across the board import tariffs. Then stop all immigration. This alone would raise the American std of living by 50%.(Too much sense-tariffs to replace income tax?)

Spouting this “progressive” nonsense makes them and their comrades feel good, and the circle continues...(It’s not the circle, it’s the guns they have)

we should all be responsible for our own unemployment insurance, disability(Ronald Reagan: Unemploument compensation is a paid vacation”) insurance, workers comp

It isn’t “I got mine”, it’s “I’m taking yours” which is exactly why People Vote DEMONCRAT.

We have “equal opportunity”. There are no laws on the books which hold back women or minorities. “The System” is explicitly based on fairness in terms of opportunity.

But they want “equal outcome”? Well, you need massive tyranny and lots of jack-booted thugs to punish all the successful people in order for “equal outcome” to work. And, oh by the way, Obama and the rest of them will need to lose their massive beachfront estates.

Yeah, my wife says the same. If I can get Emmylou, she also says go for it. But she’ll take us to the cleaners for sure.

It’s the wrong values Governments teach our children.
It is envy that poisons the society

Once upon a time, a Dad would turn his son’s attention to the doctor driving a cadillac and say “he did it right and is now successful”

Now, the teachers point to wealthy successful people as objects of hate and derision

Here, let me fix this.

“The answer is wholesale ‘conversion’ of the Pagans in our Country.”
