You can have 2 out of 3 of Good, Fast or Cheap, but not all three.

The latest Infrastructure Hustle, along with green jobs for all, free healthcare, and permanent government paychecks.

When contracting, the rule of two out of three always applies...

You can get something fast...
You can get something good and high quality...
You can get something cheap...

Pick two out of three...

EXCEPT when government is involved, when you are likely to get ZERO out of the three.

I find it interesting that the Democrats always raise taxes to pay for “renewing infrastructure” that never seems to get “renewed.”

Lining the pockets of friends and relatives of the politicians. Kickbacks included.

Fine when the Gopers are back in power pass a law requiring the Democrats pay back every penny. Call Our Children’s Future Act.

Barry the Muslim did this and within 24 hours every City, County and State project had those Stupid signs put up on EXISTING JOB SITES. One Giant FRAUD just like Joe and his Ho.

You can either (A) build things or (B) line Democrat and union pockets. Hmmm, let’s see. A or B? A or B? That’s a hard one.

This infrastructure spending is a complete rip-off. We are on the cusp of incredible technological breakthroughs, with self-driving cars that communicate with each other and even personal flying drones. All of these technologies are going to change the way we live, and improve efficiencies, reduce traffic, and make the highways and byways last longer due to reduced wear and tear.

These politicians and bureaucrats should be liberating the market and not wasting hard earned tax dollars on outdated concepts. Sure, fix the roads when they need to be fixed. That’s what we pay taxes for. But spending nearly a years’ worth of tax revenue for something that will be roughly half obsolete in a decade is a farce.

Oh and by the way, they cannot even figure out how to dislodge a wayward ship in the Suez Canal... but we’re supposed to consent to $3 trillion to build what exactly?

What, do you think gender studies majors can build anything at all? If you bought them an erector set they’d call you a racist.

“You have to spend the $3 trillion to see what we are building for you.”

You can have 2 out of 3 of Good, Fast or Cheap, but not all three.

Sorry, you can have only ONE out of three on a worthwhile project, and NONE out of three on a Pork Project.

Where did all the billions Obama spent on 'shovel ready' projects? The money's gone, the projects never happened. Who got rich on sweetheart deals and graft?

One thing for sure, Biden is a crook and he wants in on as much of that action as he can get in his turn at the trough.

The only constitutionally express power that the states have given the feds to deal with infrastructure is on property that the feds have bought from the states and private citizens in full compliance with the Constitution imo, correction welcome.

In other words, if the very corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds weren’t continually stealing state revenues by means of unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, then the states would find the revenues that they need to maintain their respective infrastructures without continually begging the feds to give their stolen revenues back to them.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

In the private sector, sure. But this is unionized goverment spending; it will be neither good, nor fast, nor cheap.

My mother was very Liberal. She thought government solutions were usually the best idea in all situations.

But I remember many years ago, we drove past a small bridge that was being fixed. It was small enough that I could literally have thrown a rock from one end to the other (I was probably 12). They had been working on fixing that bridge for something like 7 years.

My mother was driving past it and yelled out, “We won WWII in less time than it’s taking them to fix that little bridge!!”

She never did seem to catch on to the really big picture. But she understood the infrastructure side of things.
