The 17th Amendment made the New Deal, Wickard v. Filburn, the Great Society, Obama’s Transformation and pending totalitarianism all but inevitable.

A less drastic remedy is to limit campaign donations to natural citizens of that state, not corporations, and not foreigners. It has a far greater likelihood of success than that what which you advocate.

If free government is the goal (it is) there is no substitute to repeal of the 17th.
