When I was teaching and a girl rolled her eyes and me, I’d stop whatever I was saying and compliment her on her eye roll. At first she’d be pissed that I noticed and called her on it, but most would start to smile and even laugh at being caught.
When she’d turn away and then roll her eyes again (I could tell) I’d call her on it again. By that time both she and the class would be laughing.
